Angelic Role: Defending One’s Reputation His/Her Absence | AIYP Ep-9 | Shaykh Omar Suleiman

What type of society are we creating? If we allow for people to be insulted and we ask them to not respond on their own behalf.

Allah tasks us with responding on behalf of other people. The prophet (saw) He said whoever defends their brother or sister in their absence that Allah would remove the fire from that person’s face on the Day of Judgment.

It’s also an authentic Hadith of the prophet salallahu alihi wasalam. He said that whoever defends his brother or sister in their absence when they are being insulted, Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala will appoint an angel that would defend their flesh on the Day of Judgment over the bridge.

But the flip side of that the prophet (saw) and whoever disgraces his brother or sister will be suspended over the bridge over Hellfire on the day of judgement until they are interrogated for what they have done.

When we respond on behalf of our brother or sister so that they don’t have to respond for themselves, we basically are playing the role of the Angel. So how beautiful is it that we start to be Angelic and character the way we seek to be Angelic with our worship.

What’s the point of having such a good-looking Outward appearance but the way you speak is so bad. Your heart is dirty, filled with disease filled with hatred jealousy deception and so on if we cleanse ourselves, we will definitely be able to achieve the Comfort?

If you were to seek forgiveness from the almighty, then you would automatically have to clean your heart because the two go together hand in hand, you clean your heart, and you seek the Forgiveness of the almighty. He forgives you and you have a big heart to forgive others as well.

Remember marriage is a very big sacrifice. If you are going to sacrifice, you will be happy. If not, it will become a crisis. If you want to protect yourself from the crisis within marriage learn to trust one another and don’t give reason for your spouse not to trust you.

Divorce in Islam is not prohibited, but it’s not a joke either. It’s a last resort when someone really cannot make the marriage work anymore and it’s causing problem hardship, difficulty. It’s becoming a strain on the brain in that particular case, you may want to consider separating.

When you make someone else’s life difficult Allah makes your life difficult, remember it,

 

my beloved parents when your daughters or your sons would like to marry someone, don’t say no without a valid valid reason, if you don’t have a valid reason and racism is not a valid reason, tribalism is not a valid reason. The fact that this person is darker in complexion is never a valid Reason. So remember allow the marriages and Allah will allow for you to enter Paradise.

Your greatest test of humility and honor is going to come when you meet someone who has absolutely none of those things.

Husnul Khuluq,  of good character is how a person deals with someone with ….  bad character, the prohet (saw) was sitting with Abu Bakr radiallahu anhum and a man started to insult the prophet (saw) and insult Abu Bakr (ra). now the prophet (saw) was doing what he always did Which was responding with patience, the prophet (saw) did not entertain the insult in any way whatsoever And he definitely did not respond in like manner.

Abu bakr (ra) loved the prophet (saw) more than he loved himself is witnessing those insults and finally he can’t hold himself and he responds. As soon as he responds the prophet (saw) gets up and he leaves.

The prophet (saw) is sitting and Abu bakr (ra) comes to him and he says o messenger of Allah, is it something that I did and the prophet (Saw) said that when we were sitting there before we were responding Allah has sent an angel from the heaven said to us and then as soon as you started to respond the said to us and then as soon as you started to respond the angel left. Devil came and sat in its place.

That’s why the prophet (saw) said that strength is not in how you overcome. Another person, strength is actually in how you overcome yourself.

How would you expect the mercy of Allah when you are merciless!

If Allah is encouraging you to forgive others, you need to know that it will help you health-wise as well. It will be holistically beneficial when you release things.

The more difficult it is to forgive, the greater the reward of forgiving and the more likelihood of you achieving the Forgiveness of Allah.

When we say Ramadan is a month of Mercy, a month of forgiveness. We start off with ourselves being merciful and that is a point many people miss. People think when we say Ramadan is a month of mercy and forgiveness. It is only to achieve the mercy and forgiveness of Allah not realizing that to get that mercy and that forgiveness, you have to be merciful yourself, and you have to forgive yourself meaning you have to learn to forgive others.

The Prophet Muhammed (saw) says Allah does not have mercy upon the one who doesn’t have mercy on the rest of mankind, on the people.

Don’t make a mistake, be merciful and Allah will be even more merciful.

Intention With The Remembrance Of Allah To Be Raised By Angels | AIYP Ep-7

The remembrance has to be an expression of what you longed for and desire in your heart. The prophet (saw) mentioned here two different narrations; one of them is that throughout the day you’re going to have an angel on your head. Reins on your head, on top of that you’re going to have a banner as you carry out throughout the day.

Don’t just state that remembrance, refresh your intention, renew your intention to do good in the world. And renew it throughout the day so that you can maintain that humility for Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala so that Allah makes you amongst those that proceed under the banner of Hiis love and Allah makes you amongst those that are raised in Honor by the angel that He’s put on your head.

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil ‘akhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar

Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire

If we take a look at the prophets of Allah, they were loved by Allah more than us. They were chosen by Allah more than us Ordinary People. And if you look at their lives, they went through challenge after challenge. There was a point when even The Messengers called out to Allah to say when is Your help coming?

And Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala says in verse number 214 of Surat al-baqarah behold; the help of Allah is very near very near.

When you are getting to the point Where you feel you’re almost broken Allah says well, if you have faith in Me, I want you to know My help is very near.

When we reach out to others the almighty reaches out to us and we must make sure that we look after our family members our relatives, our communities, our countrymen, Etc, members of the ummah before we make the circle larger.

The almighty makes us helpless at times, so helpless because He just wants you to turn to Him. The minute you turn to Him you will achieve the comfort that He really wanted you to achieve.

Imagine your staff at your business or your colleagues or whoever else is there, they are struggling and you’re busy enjoying you life you will never learn goodness through that. Look after everyone Allah will look after you.

Say Beautiful Remembrance To Start Off A Day Outside To Be Protected By Angels | AIYP Ep-6

The prophet (saw) gave us this beautiful remembrance to start off our day outside of the home. When you say

بسم الله، توكلت على الله، لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله

Bismillah, tawakkaltu ’ala Allah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa-billah

In the name of Allah, I’ve put my trust in Allah, and there is no power or might except that which belongs to Allah.

And the angels responding saying you’ve been guided you will be defended. You will be protected and your shaitan knowing that you are going to be under the protection of the angels and the guidance of Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala throughout the day.

O you who believe, Seek assistance through patience and prayer, for indeed Allah is with those who bear patience.

I know that after the darkest hour, there is always Daybreak. The one who brought about that Daybreak will actually bring about the Daybreak in my crisis and as much as I am convinced that the sun is going to rise, I’m also convinced that my problem is going to end.

Put your head on the ground and call out to your maker. The closest you could ever be to your maker is when you are in prostration.

The closest that a slave could be to his maker is when his head is on the ground for his maker, crying to his maker. Oh my maker, help I need your help. Allah will respond- Ameen.

So you think of where you came from, where you are right now, where you are heading and that brings about a lot of comfort. Many of us cling to dear life. Although we know we have to leave it. So just embrace.

Thank Allah, do your best while you’re alive leave behind a very good Legacy, leave behind something good, do good for your own self and investment for the future.

Abdullah Ibn Abbas (Ra) said I do not know of any good deed on the face of the earth. That is dearer to Allah Almighty than being good to your mother. And that is why Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (rah) and other said erases even major sins.

Do These Things To Have Angels’ Protection And Dua Before Sleep | AIYP Ep-4 | Shaykh Omar Suleiman

There are so many different things at the prophet (saw) mentioned that we should do at night and they do involve the Angels.

By making wudu, just by reciting Ayatul Kursi You have an angel that stands guard for you. You have an angel that seeks forgiveness for you throughout the night; you end your night well.

So if you died that night on the dhikir, then you return to Allah subhanaka in the state of remembrance as opposed to an estate of whatever it is that you were doing before you went to sleep.

And if you wake up in the morning you wake up already oriented towards Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala, ready to cling back to those things that you went to sleep with so that you can continue your direction and your pursuit of Him.

Hadith on Wudu: Angels supplicate for those who sleep with ablution

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever retired for the night in a state of purity, an angel will reside with him in his bed. He will not awaken for an hour in the night but that the angel says: O Allah, forgive this servant of yours, for he retired in a state of purity.”
