You love something so much, is it coming between you and Allah?

Your business, Is it such that you just leave your salah, your earnings, your money did it make you arrogant?

Your power, your position does it make you feel like you are better than others?

If that’s the case, put a knife to that bad habit. Slice it. Cut it.

If you did not learn that, you learned nothing from the sacrifice.

This celebration of Eid Ul Adha is a celebration of separation from materialistic items of this dunya that might be bogging you down.

Goose Bumps Incident About The Fasting Of Arafah During Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ Hajj | Dr. Omar Suleiman

There’s one incident that takes place where Abu Hurairah (ra) narrates the Prophet (pbuh) forbade fasting Arafah, at Arafah. So if you’re at Arafah, you can’t fast. Now, the people, they doubted whether the prophet (pbuh) was fasting or not because they were used to for years before.

So they were used to fasting the day of Arafah and they didn’t know if the prophet (pbuh) was fasting or not. But he (pbuh) was so immersed in his du’a / supplications that they couldn’t even interrupt him to ask him if he was fasting or not.

So Maymunah (ra), the wife of the prophet (pbuh), she witnesses this and she sees the people and they are so thirsty. They’re getting dehydrated. It’s hot. So Maymunah (ra), she says that I took a glass of milk and I took it  to the Prophet (pbuh) While he was  making dua, the prophet (pbuh) looked at me, he grabbed  a glass of milk.

He raised up his glass so that everyone would see that he was about to drink from this container of milk. And then he (pbuh) drank from it. And then everybody drank.

Prophet (pbuh) on the Day of Arafah, he said something amazing. He said everything that was of the period of ignorance. I’m putting it under my feet, it no longer is valid.

if we’re believers, here is the messenger (pbuh), on the Day of Arafah, saying, no racism or the period of ignorance, kick it out. Don’t maltreat women, the period of ignorance, kick it out. Don’t think you’re superior, the period of ignorance kick it out. Learn to respect people.

The prophet (pbuh) said, Fear Allah regarding your treatment of women. He says you married the women using the name of Allah, so fear Allah how you treat them.

Watch out, those women. You used the name of Allah, You used the name of Allah to take them, to marry them; treat them well.

Allah clearly tells us this in the surah known as Surah An-Nisa’ (The Women); Allah tells us to fear Allah and to fear the womb that gave birth to…..

And that’s why the Prophet (pbuh) says, the best from amongst you are those who are best to their wives.

This is the day where the women were empowered by Islam, subhanallah.

The Hadith says there will come a time when two people will argue over a share in the estate of the deceased, and they won’t have anyone to guide them as to what the ruling is. So it’s important for you and I to make sure that we learn.

Understanding who has what rights upon you. Every single time the Prophet addressed the community he always said two things: someone who cannot be trusted, that person has no real faith and somebody who does not keep their word has no real deen (faith).

Every situation, every circumstance, Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) remembered Allah, he turned to Allah.

It is your relationship with Allah that will keep you honest, that will keep you sincere, that will keep you correct in all these things at the end of the day, because at some point in time, everything else might be telling you to do something bad or to do something wrong.

But it is that’s fear of Allah, that connection to Allah, that God consciousness that Allah is watching me, that is what will make sure that you always do the right thing and make the correct choice.

We have this false notion- – That when a woman takes her hijab off, she chose to take it off. I believe this is the biggest false fallacy ever.

Are you telling me that as a woman you choose not to wear the hijab? – Yes.

– I say no, and I’ll prove it.

Are you telling me that the beauty industry, the females around you, the society that you live in, have no effect on you and the way you are perceived? And that has no element on you that you may feel, because the book that I referred to you called “Beauty Sick” tells you about women who are beauty sick.

You wear the hijab ’cause Allah told you to,

The beauty industry, the standards that the societies have put a bar on, you are trying to reach those at the cost that you can even lose your life.

The point is this, nobody has a choice. Listen carefully. Which one is deserving of being listened to the One who Created you or Society?

both individuals have no choice. They are both told to do something.

– One is from the Creator.

– One is from the creation.

Live by the one that God sent you because that’s the best.
