It’s a little bit scary, but when you have iman / faith it’s not scary, it’s reassuring.
Oh Allah, take me when You’re happy with me.
The Prophet (pbuh) used to say, Oh Allah keep me alive for as long as you know that life is good for me.
We have no guarantee.
Turn to Allah. If you would like to prepare for death, one of the best ways is seek the forgiveness of Allah and together with that, change your life.
Al Hasan Al Basri, he said Al-Amana is the religion of Islam because the whole religion is but an amana / a trust. a Muslim has to uphold Amanah / the trust in every one= of those 3 categories.
It affects us every second of our life and there will be heavy questions to expect on the day of judgment,
I am a Muslim because I believe I was created by a Maker and I believe that Maker is the only One Who deserves any act of worship. I want to have a direct relationship with my Maker, that’s why I’m a Muslim.
I believe I’m a Muslim because I’m so sophisticated that when I die, I cannot just disappear into thin air. I have to go back to the one who had me before I was even born. That’s why I’m a Muslim.
You cannot have everything you want here on Earth, but Allah promises you and all the rules and regulations He made are just and fair in order to instill discipline in mankind so that you lead the best of lives.
When Allah tells you we have predestined things, do you know what He says; don’t become arrogant because Allah gave you something. It was predestined as a test for you, that’s what it was.
Allah says when you get don’t become arrogant. Remember, it’s a test and when you lose, don’t lose faith. Allah says don’t become too saddened by what you’ve lost. Why? These are the days of the world.
Islam is one faith, there will always be people from among the Muslims who will consider the prohibited, prohibited right up to the end and the permissible, permissible right up to the end.
Allah said, Allah instructs you that you are to return the trust to the rightful owners of those trusts. And that when you judge between people, you judge with justice, how excellent is that which Allah instructs you to do. Allah Almighty is ever hearing and ever seeing.
Our Prophet’s (pbuh) life was defined by the upholding of Amana, the restoring of trust to their owners. And they knew him as “Al-Amin”, a trustworthy individual. He advocated it, he called towards it, applied it.
And he told us that towards the end of time, one of the signs of the Day of Judgment will be people will lose trust.
Alrazi, he said, in his tafseer, when you interact, he says, you are dealing with one of three categories; either you are dealing with your Lord, or either you are dealing with people, or either you are dealing with yourself.
He said, and a Muslim has to uphold the trust in every one of those three categories.
It affects us every second of our life. And there will be heavy questions to expect on the Day of Judgment.
If I tell you why something exists rather than nothing is something that we can understand by looking at what something is. Because if something exists now, if something exists today, there cannot be a time in the distant past where there was absolute nothingness.
Allah Almighty has always challenged man and promised that every time you discover something, it will lead you to the confirmation you discover something, it will lead you to the confirmation that this revelation of the Quran is the truth and that Allah Almighty is indeed the Creator and whatever He has revealed is the truth.
If you want to look deeper into the cells of your own body, Allah says, We will show you signs not just in the horizons, but within your cells. We will show you signs that the Quran is the truth.
I’m a believer. I believe that there is a Maker, and I worship Him alone. And I believe that He has not yet told us or shown us or allowed us to see more than a little droplet of what he has in terms of creation or even a fraction of His knowledge.
That’s my Maker and yours.
Don’t lose your faith in Allah; When Allah Almighty speaks about His greatness and He tells you about the heavens and He tells you about the skies, those are used and connected, although separated.
We have a mechanism of affirmation and negation about Allah.
So we affirm about Allah what He described about Himself and what the messenger (pbuh) of Allah about Allah. And we negate about Allah what He negated about Himself, what the messenger (pbuh) of Allah negated about Allah.
So anything in between, we leave it up to Allah, right?
There’s one incident that takes place where Abu Hurairah (ra) narrates the Prophet (pbuh) forbade fasting Arafah, at Arafah. So if you’re at Arafah, you can’t fast. Now, the people, they doubted whether the prophet (pbuh) was fasting or not because they were used to for years before.
So they were used to fasting the day of Arafah and they didn’t know if the prophet (pbuh) was fasting or not. But he (pbuh) was so immersed in his du’a / supplications that they couldn’t even interrupt him to ask him if he was fasting or not.
So Maymunah (ra), the wife of the prophet (pbuh), she witnesses this and she sees the people and they are so thirsty. They’re getting dehydrated. It’s hot. So Maymunah (ra), she says that I took a glass of milk and I took it to the Prophet (pbuh) While he was making dua, the prophet (pbuh) looked at me, he grabbed a glass of milk.
He raised up his glass so that everyone would see that he was about to drink from this container of milk. And then he (pbuh) drank from it. And then everybody drank.
Prophet (pbuh) on the Day of Arafah, he said something amazing. He said everything that was of the period of ignorance. I’m putting it under my feet, it no longer is valid.
if we’re believers, here is the messenger (pbuh), on the Day of Arafah, saying, no racism or the period of ignorance, kick it out. Don’t maltreat women, the period of ignorance, kick it out. Don’t think you’re superior, the period of ignorance kick it out. Learn to respect people.
The prophet (pbuh) said, Fear Allah regarding your treatment of women. He says you married the women using the name of Allah, so fear Allah how you treat them.
Watch out, those women. You used the name of Allah, You used the name of Allah to take them, to marry them; treat them well.
Allah clearly tells us this in the surah known as Surah An-Nisa’ (The Women);Allah tells us to fear Allah and to fear the womb that gave birth to…..
And that’s why the Prophet (pbuh) says, the best from amongst you are those who are best to their wives.
This is the day where the women were empowered by Islam, subhanallah.
We are all bound to follow a way of life. Now that way of life, is it true or not? The one that we worship is either true Creator that deserves worship or not. So this is where Islam came from day one to reconnect us back to the true way; So reconnecting us to the true way of life, and to the One that deserves of worship.
Islam’s essence is Tawhid (The belief in one God), is to know who your Lord is. And a lot of the times, a lot of these issues come from this. Any issue that you mentioned to me, the root is Tawhid.
