Allah (swt) says, from the signs of Allah that he created for you spouses from amongst yourselves, so that you could dwell with one another. So the dwelling of Adam (a.s) with Eve was the first part of it.
And then Allah put compassion and mercy and love between the spouses.
Now, this is very powerful and this is very important that The propeht (pbuh) said, No one is single in paradise
Lastly, something very beautiful, the Prophet (pbuh) said about spouses in Jannah, the messenger (pbuh), he said that their spouse is more beautiful than the last time they saw them.
And you would say to your wife that you’re even more beautiful than the last time I saw you. And she would say, subhanallah, and you’re even more handsome than the last time I saw you.
Meaning part of Jannah is that Allah (swt) makes the spouses perpetually more attractive, more beautiful, more loving, and so on and so forth.
The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him has taught us to seize opportunities that are in front of us. But the problem with men; we don’t notice the opportunity.
Listen in life, There will be situations that you must make the most of. They may never come back.
The Prophet peace be upon him said seize 5 opportunities before they are lost, before they’re overtaken by another five situations.
This is a reminder from the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, to all of us.
Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your illness, your riches before your poverty, your free time before your work, and your life before your death.”
Bearing in mind when you make the lives of others easy, Allah makes your life easier.
How do you prepare?
It’s a little bit scary, but when you have iman / faith it’s not scary, it’s reassuring.
Oh Allah, take me when You’re happy with me.
The Prophet (pbuh) used to say, Oh Allah keep me alive for as long as you know that life is good for me.
We have no guarantee.
Turn to Allah. If you would like to prepare for death, one of the best ways is seek the forgiveness of Allah and together with that, change your life.
As a human being, If you make a mistake, you make an error, a blunder or you do something perhaps that might not have been the best way of doing things, Quickly learn to apologise, learn to come forth and make amends; Learn to seek forgiveness not only from those whom you’ve wronged but from Allah (swt) primarily because you know I have to go back to my Lord, He made me. I’m going to answer to Him.
You’re getting married to someone and that person is the child of someone and they have a family and they have a loving family and they’ve been treated with kindness and goodness throughout their lives. Treat them in a similar, if not better way.
The tongue in marriage will make or break it.
Whoever follows Allah and His messenger has indeed succeeded the great success.
Your connection with Allah is closely related to how you address the rest of the creatures of the same Allah.
Al Hasan Al Basri, he said Al-Amana is the religion of Islam because the whole religion is but an amana / a trust. a Muslim has to uphold Amanah / the trust in every one= of those 3 categories.
It affects us every second of our life and there will be heavy questions to expect on the day of judgment,
Allah said, Allah instructs you that you are to return the trust to the rightful owners of those trusts. And that when you judge between people, you judge with justice, how excellent is that which Allah instructs you to do. Allah Almighty is ever hearing and ever seeing.
Our Prophet’s (pbuh) life was defined by the upholding of Amana, the restoring of trust to their owners. And they knew him as “Al-Amin”, a trustworthy individual. He advocated it, he called towards it, applied it.
And he told us that towards the end of time, one of the signs of the Day of Judgment will be people will lose trust.
Alrazi, he said, in his tafseer, when you interact, he says, you are dealing with one of three categories; either you are dealing with your Lord, or either you are dealing with people, or either you are dealing with yourself.
He said, and a Muslim has to uphold the trust in every one of those three categories.
It affects us every second of our life. And there will be heavy questions to expect on the Day of Judgment.
You really think all the sophisticated creation was there for nothing?
Allah says, We will show you signs not just in the horizons, but within your cells. We will show you signs that the Quran is the truth.
Look at your organs. Look at how they work. One small thing goes goes wrong, OH man! And you are in such pain that you don’t feel like living. And you can’t even pray for the One Who made you.
You really think all the sophisticated creation was there for nothing from nothing, and is going to return to nothing?
Allahu Akbar, I’m a believer. I believe that there is a Maker
We have a mechanism of affirmation and negation about Allah.
So we affirm about Allah what He described about Himself and what the messenger (pbuh) of Allah about Allah. And we negate about Allah what He negated about Himself, what the messenger (pbuh) of Allah negated about Allah.
So anything in between, we leave it up to Allah, right?
There’s one incident that takes place where Abu Hurairah (ra) narrates the Prophet (pbuh) forbade fasting Arafah, at Arafah. So if you’re at Arafah, you can’t fast. Now, the people, they doubted whether the prophet (pbuh) was fasting or not because they were used to for years before.
So they were used to fasting the day of Arafah and they didn’t know if the prophet (pbuh) was fasting or not. But he (pbuh) was so immersed in his du’a / supplications that they couldn’t even interrupt him to ask him if he was fasting or not.
So Maymunah (ra), the wife of the prophet (pbuh), she witnesses this and she sees the people and they are so thirsty. They’re getting dehydrated. It’s hot. So Maymunah (ra), she says that I took a glass of milk and I took it to the Prophet (pbuh) While he was making dua, the prophet (pbuh) looked at me, he grabbed a glass of milk.
He raised up his glass so that everyone would see that he was about to drink from this container of milk. And then he (pbuh) drank from it. And then everybody drank.
