Why Are You Taking To This Sister | Mufti Menk

What would it have cost me to have come out and be nice to them and so on?

some people say but why don’t you discuss this particular topic, for those of them who are my friends I tell them, well, have you discussed, they say, yes. Well then isn’t that enough? I mean look you’re doing one thing. I’m doing one thing. I’m not going to tell you do what I’m doing. So, please don’t tell me do what you’re doing because all of this we’re working for the same boss, for the same deen.

We’re calling towards the same Allah. So, it’s amazing how it doesn’t cost us to be kind to be nice.

You have to be kind to everyone. You have to smile at everyone. You have to greet everyone. You have to try and listen…. , I’m speaking to her as though she’s my own sister, someone is crying and a lot of the times one good word from you would change her life by the help of Allah. Why not, that’s your opportunity.

We want to cater for humankind at large.

Whose Greetings You Don’t Have To Respond In Islam | Mufti Menk

Many of us have an issue sometimes where if we don’t like someone we find it difficult to greet them or to respond to the greeting. Allah says when you are greeted, reply the greeting.

So this is something you need to know greet people and respond to their Greetings in a beautiful way and Allah will open your doors.

if there is someone who you know for a fact, is making a mockery of it Then you don’t respond that particular lies. The lies are because they’re telling you peace be upon you but they don’t mean it at all.

However, Allah says still try to greet back.

When your greet someone, be genuine. This is Allah teaching us clean your heart.

Do I Have A Chance Of Forgiveness For This Kind Of Sin | Dr Zakir Naik And Mufti Menk

When a person has committed a sin do they deserve a second chance? That is a very important question. In order to answer it, we must look at both sides of the coin.

The first is when the person has committed a sin between them and Allah and the second is when a person has committed the sin between them and a fellow human being;

Yes, there is always be hope for us but don’t playing a game with Allah’s mercy

So if we were to answer that question, do you deserve a second chance? The answer is yes, indeed You deserve a second and the third and the fourth and as many chances as you wish for as long as Allah’s Mercy is greater and you know that it’s greater than the sins that you are committing between you and Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala.

So turn to Allah before it is too late.

If there are sins committed between you and Allah, in the rights of Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala without the involvement of another human being then there are four conditions for the sin to be forgiven.

A Dangerous Quality Allah Talked About In Surah An-Nisa

If you are a True Believer, it’s not all about yourself. It’s about us.

I don’t want to be harmed. So I definitely will not harm and I’m going to go a step further and help those who I think maybe be harmed by others. I’ll try to protect others as well. So that Allah will protect me.

So, Allah speaks about a certain quality that’s very dangerous and we need to protect ourselves from it and we need to talk about it and we need to be protected from it as well.

In verse number 54 of Surat annisa, Allah speaks about jealousy and what it does, don’t allow yourself to be jealous of others. Thank Allah for bestowing upon others His Favor, the most you could do is to ask Allah to give you a similar favor but never ask Allah to extinguish a favour He’s given someone else just because you want it.

So Allah is telling you don’t be jealous of others.

By you being jealous you automatically become unhappy with what Allah has chosen for someone. And if you’re unhappy with Allah, you have plunged yourself into the biggest possible crisis.

Work hard towards achieving what you want. Try call out to Allah, say to Allah, oh Allah you’ve blessed this person with so much grant them more, give them Baraka and bless me too in a similar way.

Scenarios To Give A Person A Second Chance ~ Mufti Menk

Never write off a person simply because they’ve done something wrong.

If you were to be excommunicated because of the sin you’ve committed, every single one of us would be excommunicated just because Allah has covered. You do not mean you’re innocent.

So go easy on others and Allah will go easy on you.

We all falter, we all commit sins. So let’s not play the nobleman by trying to belittle others instead of helping them.

Three Things From The Time Of Jahiliyya In Many Muslims | Eye Opening Islamic Reminder

We don’t have racism in Islam. We have racism from amongst the Muslims. But the religion of al-Islam dealt with the issue of racism.

Al-Islam is uppermost, al-Islam is elevated, Al-Islam goes on top and nothing goes over al-Islam- nothing.

Why racism is so disgusting in the sight of Allah (swt)?  Allah created all people, all features are from Allah azzawaja.

when you look at someone who is different to you, and you think (sneering) I hold you in contempt, I don’t like the way you look. what you really trying to say is I don’t like the way Allah created you and that is really bad.

No virtue of an Arab over a non-arab or a white over a black or vice versa except by taqwa. the minute you think because my complexion is lighter or darker or because I belong to this tribe or because I belong to this particular nationality or because  I am this or I am that, that I am better.

That’s the same minute, You have dropped your crystals……

Remember you are just a number. everyone else is like you trying to please Allah.

The Signs Tell You Who Your True Friend Is | Mufti Menk

Islam has taught us how to select your friends and has advised us what type of friends we should have. It’s also made mention of the impact of friends and how on the Day of Judgment a person who had bad friends would actually regret those particular friends.

Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala says o you who believe be conscious of Allah, develop the correct relationship with Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala and be in the company of those who are as-Sadikin. So who are as-Sadikin? They are the ones who are truthful. They are true to Allah.

A true friend will not tell you what you want to hear. But we’ll tell you what you need to hear. a true friend will correct you in a beautiful way not just cheer you on when you’re going in the wrong direction. A true friend will tell you my brother my sister what you did is actually not right. subhanALlah, those are true friends.

Allah says the best of friends in this world on that day will be the worst of enemies besides those who had a good relationship with Allah, those who had taqwa, those who had piety which means they will start blaming each other; I’m in Hell Fire today because of you, other one will say no it’s because of you and so on.

Saving Lives Is Our Duty When Returning To Public Life | Mufti Menk

To take your precautions and to ensure that you have tied your camel before you say I lay my trust in Allah.

the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam says work hard towards achieving that which is beneficial for you. Do whatever you can to ensure that what you want, you will get it by the will of Allah. Work hard, Say the name of Allah, seek the help of Allah and go forth.

Then if something bad were to happen to you, then you don’t blame anyone or anything. You just say Allah wanted that to happen.

We must remember saving lives is still our duty. We must remember as much as the lockdown or the restrictions may be disappearing. The virus has not disappeared.

In fact a Believer is the one who is supposed to care even more. A Believer is the one who is supposed to be even more conscious of Life, of sickness, of the spread of evil, the spread of anything harmful.

It is prohibited upon a Believer to spread something harmful even if it were just a foul smell from your own mouth. imagine a disease, imagine something that was really harmful to the lives of people let alone just a stench or a smell from your mouth.

Do something constructive, not destructive, remember those Words because if you tackled boredom with something destructive, it will occupy you with something very very regretful.

Obedience To Allah Only But Kindness To Parents Always | Mufti Menk

Allah says be charitable, be good, be kind. Who should I be kind to?

Allah Says (Surah An-nisa, V. 36), worship Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala alone, don’t associate partners with him and be kind to your parents.

Notice, Allah didn’t say obey your parents because obedience is for Allah.

Allah says you don’t have to listen to them when they are wrong. You have to be kind to them whether they are right or wrong. You have to respectfully disagree with them when they are wrong.

Remember if we would like goodness and kindness, if we would Comfort, be kind and respectful to the following categories: your parents then your relatives even if they are nasty people what’s stopping you from being kind and respectful even though you might keep a bit of a distance.

And then Allah says Be Kind to the orphans, be kind to the Beggars, the poor, the needy, be kind to your neighbors. Make sure that you’re very very good to your neighbors.

May Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala help us and then he says Be Kind to Wayfarer a person who’s lost.
