Who Am I To Disallow What Allah Has Allowed Regarding Marriage – Mufti Menk

The children belong to Allah. Allah gave them to you temporarily and He’s going to take them away. He may take you away before them or He will take them away before you. It is totally up to Him. you have to be happy with the decree of Allah.

We get so attached to our children that we don’t even want them to get married. Allah gave you the children in order to test you. Are you going to do what we want you to do or are you going to do what you want to do against what we want to do? For example your child wants to marry ask yourself a question; the parents need to ask themselves obviously if both the boy and the girl would like it to happen. Does Allah allow it? If the answer is yes tell yourself who am I to disallow, what Allah has allowed?

The brother is too black you know, I promise you I’ve heard that.  Black! Bilal ibn Rabah (ra) was from jannah (paradise). He was the darkest of the lot and the prophet (saw) came back and said oh Bilal I went up to Maharaj and guess what? I heard your footsteps there. He didn’t look at the fairest of the lot and say hang on, who’s more…, who is fair in complexion, yeah yours, your footsteps in jannah, no way. ––

It had nothing to do with color. You slice here, you slice there, you slice anywhere, and the blood is red. My brothers and sisters, racism has no space in Islam, not at all. If you do not respect a person simply because their complexion is less than yours, I promise you you’re doomed.

My brothers and sisters you want paradise, understand ‘people are equal’ that’s what Allah says. The day you get to Allah and he gives you your book of records in your right hand. You can then say I did well. I travel through Africa and I witness some of the best Muslims I’ve seen in my life happen to be in the darkest corners of Africa.

Every time you make halal easy, you’ve protected people from harm and every time you’ve made halal difficult, you’ve encouraged people to engage in haram and facilitate it for them. – Mufti Menk

FUNNY! SLAP FROM THE MOST PIOUS – MUFTI MENK

⚡️Forgiveness Mostly We Are Taught To Forgive But We’re Never Taught To Forget..‼️
=====================================

Make sure that you don’t abuse people; you don’t oppress people to be saved from the hellfire. If you committed a terrible sin, major sin but you seek forgiveness from Allah, he’ll wipe it out. Why? it’s between you and Him.

But the minute you slandered someone there are three people involved meaning three parties involved who, you and Allah and there is another guy or another person. Allah is Ghafoor, Rahim, most merciful, most forgiving that person is not most forgiving most merciful.

By right if you want to be forgiven for something you did wrong against someone else, you are going to have to put put your ego away, your pride needs to go aside; say, listen my brother I’m really sorry for what I said about you. I was totally wrong, totally unjustified and that’s it, please forgive me.

✅ In Islam the forget part of it is not necessary. If you’ve forgiven from your heart ,one or two things; you can either embrace. That’s the best type of forgiveness which means we’re buddies again or you can forgive without an embrace which means I’ve forgiven you but I don’t really want to have much to do with you because I really don’t know if I’m gonna be harmed again from you. People think a pious Muslim is a person who just keeps getting slaps that’s not a pious Muslim. Sometimes a pious Muslim is he who says hey what are doing? Be careful, you know I’ll slap you back; you’re not going to carry on this way – Mufti Ismail Menk

How A Small Deed Makes A Mountain In The Sight Of Allah (Swt) – Sheikh Omar Suleiman

⚡️How A Small Good Connecting Back To The Highest Branch Of Faith ‘La Ilaha Illallah’‼️
===================================================

Your life looks like through the concept of purpose knowing why you are here and in the process the how and the what becomes easy!!

when the prophet (saw) talks about the branches of Iman, the branches of faith and he (saw) says that Iman has 70 something branches and he said (saw) that the highest of them is la ilaha illallah then all the rest of them come out, that first branch of there is no god but Allah, there is no creator but Allah. There is no sustainer but Allah there is no one worth living for but Allah. There is no one worth unconditional obedience except Allah and he (saw) said the lowest one is that you remove something harmful from the road. So the prophet (saw) is connecting that faith to a very small thing that you would do in your life to remove something harmful from the road. Most people would not connect that to that La Ilaha Ilallah.

The prophet (saw) then says that there was a man that he saw strolling in Jannah because the only thing that he did was he saw something harmful in the road and he picked it up and he removed it. So that the path could be Ease for people and Allah (swt) eased the path of Jannah for him. It is not just that this person was walking on the side of the road or what and saw something harmful and removed it, it’s that that person connected it back to Allah subhana WA Ta’ala, he was intentional about what he was doing. He was purposeful about what he was doing. He made a mental and emotional, a spiritual connection to that act and that’s something special. That what takes a small deed and makes it a mountain in the sight of Allah subhana wa ta’ala because it’s not the size of the good deed that makes it accepted to Allah subhana wa ta’ala. It’s the heart that’s performing the good deed and making that connection to Allah (swt).

You have purpose; you do not belittle any of your good deeds because you realize that the one you’re doing those good deeds for is Allah. You’re connecting it to the creator.

Think about small good habits, a small good deed that is between you and Allah that people don’t expect of you but through it you seek Allah’s mercy and you make particularly a connection between that small good deed and your smallness in this world, your own vulnerability in this world and keep it up on a daily basis, as you don’t know which one of those that Allah (swt) is going to accept. Purpose is what takes the deeds that we do on a daily basis that are neutral in their nature and connect them to the Creator and that which is around us and enters us into Jannah- Sheikh Omar Suleiman

Your True Piety Is Depicted By The Softening Of Your Heart – Mufti Menk

⚡️When you are softened, it’s a sign of the mercy of Allah ‼️
=======================================
Your true piety is depicted by the softening of your heart. People are harsh; when they are harsh they are far from Allah. Open your heart, Be a person who’s good to others; be hard on yourself. Don’t be hard on others.

“It is because of the mercy of Allah that you (Prophet Mohammad ﷺ) are so lenient towards those around you. O messenger peace be upon him”. [From The Holy Quran]

Does Tolerance Mean Giving Up Your Opinion!? Mufti Menk

Many people think  tolerance means I’m going to give up my faith I’ll tolerate. So I don’t have to do what Allah has said. I don’t have to dress in a specific way. I don’t have to pray in a specific way. I don’t have to do X Y & Z that the Almighty has instructed that is a misconception completely. Tolerance has nothing to do with giving up your opinion. It has more to do with respecting the same right that others have of not giving up their opinions amazing!

As much as I am passionate about slam there are people who are passionate about Christianity, there are people who are passionate about Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism whatever other ISM even atheism. I can believe that I am correct and I do right to believe as human beings in whatever they consider to be the most correct, subhanAllah!

Religion has partly been hijacked by those who don’t understand scriptures, those who have misinterpreted it intentionally to suit their own agendas of creating disaster on the globe in the name of the most merciful.

O people, We have created you from a single male and female and thereafter We have made you spread as different peoples and tribes [From the Quran] why? Why is there black and white and yellow and brown, why are there different races, ethnicity, different sizes, different understandings, one word in order that you can recognize each other? You are different, not so that you can discriminate against each other.

Every race and every nationality and every ethnicity has in it good and bad. So you would be totally uneducated if you thought that a nationality in its entirety is bad just because of the acts of a few. – Mufti Menk

People Told Me That You Are Losing Your Faith – Mufti Menk

🛑How to react with differences in opinion‼️
==========================
📌Everyone has the right to live everyone has the right to believe whatever they feel is correct. We are not in desperate need of a balanced voice that does not take away from us our religion nor does it take away from anyone else their right to believe in whatever they feel is correct but rather it gives us that mutual respect which results in the peaceful coexistence.

⚡️Let’s educate ourselves, let‘s become people who are willing to peacefully coexist that is the entire meaning of tolerance.

When I Am Totally Different From You – Mufti Menk

🛑Never feel or never allow yourself to become so proud and arrogant that you deny the truth. ‼️
=======================
📌Especially when we become religious, when we become people who are very close to scripture in any religion and sometimes even ideologically, when we believe we are very intelligent and we have the right way. We tend to forget that others could be more intelligent or equally intelligent and their intellect might lead them to something else.

☑️if I am weak and I am a coward, I might want to harm them and attack them but if I am strong and if I display that level of intellect I will engage them in discussion to prove certain factors and who knows they might prove to me that they are right and I am wrong.

Are You Really A Merciful Servant Of Allah!! – Mufti Menk

🛑The difficulties can be divided into many different categories but two main categories those in this world and those of the hereafter; I promise you the difficulties of this world if you manage them correctly as a believer you will never have difficulties in the hereafter. Some people who don’t manage their difficulties and hardships in this world properly, Allah speaks about them by saying they have lost this world and they have also lost the afterlife.

📌As much as we would like to have hope in the mercy of Allah through our difficulties in this dunya, we need to make sure we are not the point of suffering of someone else, remember that.

✅Prophet Muhammad (saw) speaks about a true Muslim is he who doesn’t use his tongue or his hands to harm anyone; in another narration a Muslim is the one whom the other people are saved from the evil of his tongue or his hand which means no verbal abuse and no physical abuse. One narration speaks of the Muslims protecting the Muslimeen in that way making sure you don’t harm and the other one speaks about mankind at large.

✔️Allah does not have mercy on the one who doesn’t have mercy on the rest of the people, are you a merciful servant of Allah? Are you really a merciful servant of Allah? Do you have mercy in your home with your children, with your spouses, with your daughters, with your brothers and sisters? If you would like the mercy of Allah, you need to show the quality of mercy at least to others- Mufti Menk

The Street Cleaner Who Was Reciting The Quran So Melodiously – Mufti Menk

🛑Change your attitude; what is it costing you to smile to greet the man who’s cleaning the street? He may be a friend of Allah‼️
====================================

✔️Learn to greet people. You don’t know who is closer to Allah. We judge people based on material items, the man.. The perfume smells nice….. Salaam alaikum, the same man if he were to come with tatty clothing we would not even say walaikum assalam if he greeted. We want hope in the mercy of allah, we are not having mercy on others. We don’t even acknowledge people – Mufti Menk

My Father Is Forcing Me To Marry – Mufti Menk

🛑Don’t create a disaster for your future generation ‼️
===================================
⚡️Ask yourself a question in the same way that I don’t like people to do wrong to me. Do I do wrong to others that are a very powerful question? Because many people want to be protected from harm but they don’t protect others from their own harm.

Let the children communicate with you. If what they want is not Haram, facilitate it for them. If Allah allowed it who are you to disallow it? The children belong to Allah. Allah gave them to you temporarily just to see what you would do, are you going to do what we asked you to do or you’re going to do what your whims and fancies want…………..
