We love Allah so much that we should be concerned about earning His anger or doing something that would spoil the relationship between us and Allah.
Whenever we have faltered, whenever we have done something wrong, because we are human beings, Allah Almighty has favored us with one of His greatest favors, and that is the acceptance of repentance of a worshiper.
If Allah forgives you, even if you have nothing on earth, you have succeeded.
And if Allah has not forgiven you, even if you have everything on earth, you have failed.
We don’t believe that there is a competition between men and women. Men and women complete each other, if that makes sense.
Because the reason Muslim women cover is first and foremost, it is what the God has told them to do.
God is not saying to dress for Him. God is telling you what is good for you, what is good for you and for your family and for the environment and everything.
there are many things which are prohibited in Islam; drinking alcohol, gambling, fornication, adultery, even eating food which is harmful to you. Smoking cigarettes, taking drugs and all these things which harm you, All these things are prohibited. Why is that?
It’s not because God doesn’t want you to have fun. He wants you to have fun. But not at the expense of your body which we believe is a gift from God.
When we are asking Allah to show off the way out and we’re still going through that hardship and we get frustrated. The Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) mentions that someone makes dua and they abandon it because they say Allah hasn’t answered my dua.
We may find ourselves in that moment where we don’t seem to see any solution. Take a step back and remind yourself that with every hardship comes ease.
It is possible that a person can go to paradise because of a sin and go to the hellfire because of good deeds.
It is possible that a person, he commits a sin and he feels so bad about he feels so guilty about it that he decides to take a U turn in his life.
He repents to Allah and makes a solid determination to change his lifestyle such that he starts to do good deeds. And he continues that pursuit until he breathed his last breath and entered paradise.
And it’s also true that person that the good deeds ends up in hellfire because when they do great deeds, they start to think highly of the souls. Because when they do great deeds, they start to think highly of the souls. They become conceited. And then that leads to pride in the heart. And Allah does not like pride.
And eventually they start to turn away from Allah, both inwardly and outwardly, until they breathe their last breath and let end up in Jahannam.
Istikhara is seeking the guidance of Allah. So you want to open a business, you want to get married, you want to do something, .. a major and you’re confused about it. then you ask Allah, guide me, Allah, if this is good for me.
People say, how do I know the response of my Istikhara?
Go back and find out what you said. That’s the response. You said Oh Allah, if it is good for me, make it easy and facilitate it. Open the doors.
So you get up the following morning and Mashallah, The doors are opening, one after the other. That’s a sign. Allah is starting to open your doors.
You get up the following morning and your doors are closing one after the other. That’s a sign. Allah is closing the doors.
If something bad earns you a sin, the opposite of it, when it’s good, will earn you a reward.
I’ll give you an example, the hadith of the Prophet (pbuh), he says, you know, when you fulfill your base desire in a halal way, you get a reward; reward of a charity.
One of the methods that Allah uses to bring us closer to Him is by inflicting us with something we perceive as negative and if you came closer to Allah because of any one of those things or anything negative, It was the blessing of Allah and it’s the mercy of Allah and the gift of Allah.
But if Allah blessed you and gave you and did everything for you, and you passed with flying colors and you’ve got authority and you’ve got good looks and you’ve got lots of knowledge, and you’ve got lots of this and whatever else it may be, if that drifted you away from Allah, it cannot be the mercy of Allah.
So understand the favors of Allah and let it bring you closer to Allah.
Get acquainted with Allah during your days of ease. Get close to Allah, when nothing is wrong in your life, everything is smooth sailing, then go close to Allah. So what will happen when the days are tough for you?
That the day we are tested with sadness, we can navigate through it by developing a beautiful relationship with Allah.
Sadness has come to me. It has come to you. It will come to me. It will come to you in greater way. You’re a human. You’re allowed to feel sad. May Allah Almighty help us to become closer to Him.
It is only with prayer and it is only with patience that Allah Almighty will open your doors and alleviate the sadness.
So remember, bear patience upon what has befallen on you. Think of the positives while you’re in the negative.
And we know something; Things we say not replaceable but Allah will replace it with something better in the hereafter.
When you see the reward of your Sabr / patience, In Sha Allah, you won’t be let down.
When people are sad, they do different things to deal with the sadness.
If a person is void of faith and connection with Allah, they do something that makes them more sad.
But Allah Almighty teaches us that the remedy for sadness is a long term commitment.
Even if someone were to throw the whole world at you in terms of materialistic items it will not eradicate that sadness.
When you are happy, remember Allah and ask Allah protect me from anxiety and sadness. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, used to make duah, supplicate, call out to Allah, oh Allah protect me from sadness, anxiety, protect me from my miserliness.
Never let your happiness disconnect you from Allah and never let your sadness disconnect you from Allah either.
So sometimes when you’re getting a lot of things, it could be something negative, when? If you’ve been driven away from Allah by what you received.
That’s why when you get good things; it must lead you to become a better person.
The best of us, from among those who have been blessed by Allah with the worldly things, is he or she who is humble, humble.
Never let your happiness disconnect you from Allah. And never let your sadness disconnect you from Allah.
Whenever you’re happy, thank Allah; Two units of prayer.
Whenever you’re sad, praise Allah; Two units of prayer. Seek help from Him.
I promise, if anything has ever brought you close to your Maker, even by a millimeter, it was a blessing from Allah, not a punishment. A punishment is when you’re driven so far away from Allah that you’ve just forgotten it.
So sometimes when you’re getting a lot of things, it could be something negative. When if you’ve been driven away from Allah by what you received.
