One Of The Worst Questions To A Married Couple – Mufti Menk

Children are a gift from Allah but they can also be a source of stress and distress. so when Allah has given you children, thank Him and ask Him to help you to raise them. When Allah has not given you children, thank Him and be reassured that He has protected you from something or He knows something that you don’t know. That’s why He did not give you the child.

You know what is one of the worst questions, you can ever ask a married couple? When are you going to have children? That’s a very bad question. You know why? In a lot of cases it’s not even in their hands. They want to have the children but they cannot.

Infertility is increasing on the global level. I don’t know if you are aware of that.

Pray for people rather than asking a question that will bring tears to the eyes of the couple or at least the woman. May Allah grant us ease.

And then people start looking and saying I know the problem is with her not with him. How do you know? Even if they told you I know of a sister whom.. They don’t have children and the issue is with the husband but she takes the blame for that man, subhanAllah. She says no, no, it is an issue with me.

I say look at this she wants the honor for that man who would do that? I want to say something controversial. I don’t think many men would take blame for their women.

4 True Stories Revitalise You Instantly From Frustrations ~Shaykh Ali Hammuda

Proactivity is a universally admired trait even if we aren’t blessed to live by it. Minimally we admire those who do and we wish to be like them. Minimally we admire those who do and we wish to be like them. So, we ask if it is collectively admired, why is it that some of us still fail to live a proactive lifestyle?

Belittlement of oneself, yeah, so this is a person who genuinely desires to be an initiative taker and to live proactively with purpose vision and energy and motivation but he is shackled with the whisperings of who am I to do so like what value could I, could a person like me possibly add?

I wish to do now is offer a few examples which insha’Allah will pull the rug from beneath every such excuse.

Examples of proactivity that inspired imam to stay steadfast, that drove away enemies and broken alliance communities from destruction and saved other communities from medina that saved entire from the Hellfire at the hands of what and who? ..At the hands of a thief, at the hands of a new Muslim, the hands of an ant, the hands of a bird.

So with this we can really conclude that those who despite hearing all of that still insist that they’ve got nothing to offer, they have no reason to be a proactive, that person may in fact be accusing Allah Almighty of not giving them the necessary resources needed to attain the heights highest grades in paradise.

Proactivity has always been and will always be the fuel of the Dawa and reformation and revival and change. It is that vehicle that delivered Islam to Persia and Rome and Africa and the rest of the world.

Our history as Muslims describes a people of phenomenal proactivity which included the old and the young, the fit, the handicapped the male, the female, the scholar, the uneducated.

Allah Almighty alone knows of just how many people were heading for a nosedive into hell. if it wasn’t for certain proactive people who pulled them out and only Allah knows how many talents and skills would never have been discovered if it wasn’t for certain proactive people who uncovered them in these people and then channelled the skills for the cause of Islam and only Allah Almighty knows how many communities who were oppressed subjugated who would never have been liberated, had it not been for certain proactive people like yourselves who decided to carry this burden for the sake of Allah subhana WA Ta’ala. – Shaykh Ali Hammuda

How To React If Parents Are Wrong – Mufti Menk

We came into existence because the Almighty made us. He decided that He wants to have us here. We did not decide that.

None of us chose to be here for example to be born where none of us chose the parents we have. None of us chose the children that we have in the case of those who have children. May the Almighty bless those who don’t have children with children, Ameen.

That itself already tells us that we are here on a mission. Because when you have an examination your questions are never chosen by you. It’s always someone else who decides to test you, to examine you by asking you things out of his will, not out of yours.

The Almighty chose I’m going to create you, I’m going to put you in a place without your choice, I’m going to throw you into the deep end to see what you do and part of the blessings of the Almighty is that he did not cause us to grow like trees but rather to have families and to be given birth to.

A family unit is actually a blessing from the Almighty. Today the world is drifting away from the family unit and teaching us that you know what? You do it alone. You don’t need your mom. You don’t need your dad. You don’t need your brothers and sisters. You don’t need this and so on and guess what’s happening? We’re becoming people who are not as content as we used to be. We are becoming people who are searching for contentment in every place and in everything. Besides we’re contentment lies.

I get people who complain to me my parents are very difficult. The first thing that comes to my mind is well that’s part of the test of the Almighty: what are you going to do about it? SubhanAllah and that doesn’t mean that I encourage parents to be difficult, because it is also a test for you when the Almighty’s blessed you with a child. you didn’t choose the exact child that you got. So don’t be so difficult my beloved parents.

Remember the world is changing. it’s part of your test to be polite, respectful, merciful, full of beautiful guidance and at the same time realizing that as time passes you will need to pass the baton to those children.

It’s not wrong to disagree with your parents respectfully where you feel that they are wrong, respectfully. When the Quran speaks about parents it emphasizes more on kindness and respect rather than obedience where the parents are wrong.- Mufti Menk

Have A Respectful Tongue If You Love Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) – Mufti Menk

Remember one thing, if you want to know whether you really love the messenger (ﷺ) you only need to look at your lifestyle. Look at what you do, look at your ibadah?

A Mumin has a clean, polite, beautiful, respectful tongue at all times. Clean your tongue, say respectful words, be polite, be honorable, command respect by respecting yourself to begin with, automatically people will know you are respectful.

Dress in a way that if the messenger (ﷺ)  were to glance towards you he would be proud of the way you are dressing and speaking and what you are doing Masha’Allah, Tabarakallah.

May Allah strengthen us.

Amazing! Three- Best of The Quran Known From Righteous Company – Shaykh Omar Suleiman

What are you actually putting into the environment around you and that should be an analogy for what you bring to the environment around you and from what the environment brings to you? If have a righteous friend that person’s influence naturally will rub off on you.

The prophet (saw) said you’re on the religion of your friends. If you’re around people that stink, if you’re around people that have bad manners, if you’re around people that don’t have standards of worship or purpose, if you’re around people that waste themselves and things that are of no benefit, even if you commit none of those sins you will inevitably be influenced by them. You cannot continue to hang around a dumpster and not expect to smell like garbage at some point yourself.

so the societal impact and you know what?  Sometimes in fitna usually a fitna, a tribulation or dissension is started by one or two people but the stink spreads so much that you don’t even know where it started in the first place if you walk into a community that’s been embroiled in fitna for many years and you just see chaos and everybody’s fighting each other. You’re like where did this start?

If you’re around someone that acts in that their character will rub off on you and you know what the scary thing about this is, you might not even know how bad you stink until someone else smells you.

Why Imperfections In Us? – Mufti Menk

This life and this world are full of imperfections.

======================================

Do you know why? Why did Allah subhanahu wata’ala create this world with so much of hardship, difficulty and imperfections? When we say imperfections we mean even humankind as good as the posture maybe, it’s the best posture from all the creatures of Allah.

Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’ala tells us; We have created mankind in the best possible posture.

It means the positioning of every limb and organ of this particular species is absolutely the best.

There is no other position that you can ever come up with that is more superior to the norm that Allah has created.

Allah created us while He says mankind is created in the best of postures. He has allowed and catered for and made imperfections in us, guess why? But Allah had to have some flaws within us. Because Allah subhanahu wata’ala kept perfection for a totally different place, that’s why. If this world was perfect that other place would lose its value. What is that place? Jannah / paradise, mashallah. – Mufti Menk

The Fourth Category Knowledge Of Allah! The Crux of Istikharah – Mufti Menk

I know of people who become stressed and depressed to the degree that they stopped praying. I called out to Allah but he doesn’t want to listen. The hadith says Allah will definitely respond your dua for as long as you don’t make haste.

I promise you, you need to have conviction that Allah has heard you and responded you and he will give you what you want, when the time is right.

In the dua of stikharah you say oh Allah if this is good for me my deen, my dunya meaning my religion, my life, my future, etc etc my hereafter then let it happen for me, make it easy for me and give me blessings in it, give me baraka in it. but oh Allah if you know in your knowledge and I don’t know, if you know in your knowledge that it’s not good for me then take it away from me, take me away from it and make me happy with your decree.

What was the degree that you’re not going to get it? So we want something we make Istikharah.

But the dua itself tells you that you know what you are saying if it’s good for me let it happen for me. if it’s not happening for you it means you said if it’s not good for me let it not happen for me so the doors are closed, the road is closed, another door is closed, a third door is closed and you still fighting along like a champion and you don’t know but you just made a dua, say oh Allah it’s not good for me take it away from me.

He is busy taking it away from you and you’re running after it.

This is why when you understand the knowledge of Allah and you ponder over it and you surrender to it. You won’t go wrong. So what is the knowledge of Allah?

He knows what happened, He knows what is happening and He knows what will happen. There is a fourth category that He knows and that’s the crux of the whole is Istikharah, subhanAllah.

He knows what happened, He knows what is happening, He knows what will happen and He knows what will not happen if it were to happen, how it would have happened. Allahu akbar.

What is never going to happen, it was never going to happen, it will never happen, if it did happen how it would have happened is part of the knowledge of Allah.

Now surrender to that. Just surrender to that you’ll be a happy person, believe firmly that the condition you’re in is the best possible condition for you right now. Even if its tough becauseAllah didn’t promise you that your life is going to be easy. He only promised you that He’s going to help you through the way if you have faith and conviction.

Your True Piety Is Depicted By The Softening Of Your Heart – Mufti Menk

⚡️When you are softened, it’s a sign of the mercy of Allah ‼️
=======================================
Your true piety is depicted by the softening of your heart. People are harsh; when they are harsh they are far from Allah. Open your heart, Be a person who’s good to others; be hard on yourself. Don’t be hard on others.

“It is because of the mercy of Allah that you (Prophet Mohammad ﷺ) are so lenient towards those around you. O messenger peace be upon him”. [From The Holy Quran]

Does Tolerance Mean Giving Up Your Opinion!? Mufti Menk

Many people think  tolerance means I’m going to give up my faith I’ll tolerate. So I don’t have to do what Allah has said. I don’t have to dress in a specific way. I don’t have to pray in a specific way. I don’t have to do X Y & Z that the Almighty has instructed that is a misconception completely. Tolerance has nothing to do with giving up your opinion. It has more to do with respecting the same right that others have of not giving up their opinions amazing!

As much as I am passionate about slam there are people who are passionate about Christianity, there are people who are passionate about Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism whatever other ISM even atheism. I can believe that I am correct and I do right to believe as human beings in whatever they consider to be the most correct, subhanAllah!

Religion has partly been hijacked by those who don’t understand scriptures, those who have misinterpreted it intentionally to suit their own agendas of creating disaster on the globe in the name of the most merciful.

O people, We have created you from a single male and female and thereafter We have made you spread as different peoples and tribes [From the Quran] why? Why is there black and white and yellow and brown, why are there different races, ethnicity, different sizes, different understandings, one word in order that you can recognize each other? You are different, not so that you can discriminate against each other.

Every race and every nationality and every ethnicity has in it good and bad. So you would be totally uneducated if you thought that a nationality in its entirety is bad just because of the acts of a few. – Mufti Menk

People Told Me That You Are Losing Your Faith – Mufti Menk

🛑How to react with differences in opinion‼️
==========================
📌Everyone has the right to live everyone has the right to believe whatever they feel is correct. We are not in desperate need of a balanced voice that does not take away from us our religion nor does it take away from anyone else their right to believe in whatever they feel is correct but rather it gives us that mutual respect which results in the peaceful coexistence.

⚡️Let’s educate ourselves, let‘s become people who are willing to peacefully coexist that is the entire meaning of tolerance.
