Laziness is something that has been dealt with in the Quran and the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). For a Muslim, there should be no room for laziness. We need to fight it, tackle it, and ensure that we are as productive as possible.
Salah is the five daily prayers. Those are put in timings that are divine, given by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. The first one is very early. It is before sunrise. You have to get up. A believer is not allowed to be sleeping beyond that point.
So Allah wants you to fight your laziness, and there is absolutely no room for procrastination
The fact that Allah gave you life to see that time and to witness it, you owe Him the Salah.
Many people love to actually give their Zakaat out during the month of Ramadan because of the multiplication of reward. And if we take a look at it, yes, indeed, the reward is multiplied. And it is not wrong to calculate your Zakaat during the month of Ramadan to pledge it and to start giving it out.
However, something of importance; If there is a need prior to Ramadan, you must remember that you will get a full reward when you are meeting the desperate need, even though it is not in the month of Ramadan when you have already intended that I’m going to work this out in Ramadan and give it in Ramadan, because Allah Almighty rewards you by your intentions.
If we are going to delay when there is a need, we could have delayed and caused loss of life in an indirect way because there was a need and we are saying, Wait and hang on.
Cry as much as you want. Shed as many tears as you wish. It is the month of shedding tears for the sake of Allah. No matter who you are, no matter what you’ve achieved in life, Allah Almighty has definitely made you in need of Him in such a way that you will have difficulty, you will have hardship, you will have situations whereby you are helpless, you will have needs where you know that without your maker, I will not be able to achieve this.
Therefore, cry as much as you want. Cry for the sake of Allah. Cry for your needs. Call out to Him and weep.
Didn’t Allah say that this Quran was revealed in order for us to ponder deeply over its verses? Didn’t Allah say that we have revealed to you that which will bring about comfort to the heart, the soul?
This is the book that will bring about comfort. It will bring about goodness. When you just listen to its verses, you are mesmerized.
All those who have been distressed in one way or another have told us, and they have borne witness, that when we sincerely looked into these words and this Quran, or listened to it, or interacted with it, it brought about tremendous comfort.
Beyond that which is an obligation is something that is recommended, but it’s not an obligation. And sometimes there are things that are permissible, and if you were to do them, you would be rewarded, but it’s not an obligation.
Sunnah means the Prophet, peace be upon him, did it, he taught it. One would not be sinful to leave it out, but one would achieve such a great reward One would not be sinful to leave it out, but one would achieve such a great reward peace be upon him, says, The two units of voluntary prayer.
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, his entire life, every movement of his recorded, every statement of his recorded, every action of his recorded, the nodding of his head recorded, and the lessons learned from all of this, something amazing.
the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was given the Quran to give to us. Allah chose the most trustworthy.
If we can trust Him regarding the Quran, which is the revelation of Allah that He gave us, how can we not trust Him regarding his own life and his other statements that he has said?
If we didn’t believe these, how can we actually believe the others?
Those who say that we won’t take any hadith, need to reconsider their stance. The reason is you can only be a Muslim when you declare, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship besides Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad, peace be upon him, is the messenger of Allah.
A messenger comes with a message. The Quran leads you to the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
If we did not take from the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, we would not be able to fulfill what the Quran has brought.
We need to remember Allah in all situations. So many times, Allah Almighty has reminded us that He’s given us things that we haven’t even asked for because He gave it to us without us asking Him.
Have you thought of how many thousands or countless blessings and favors of Allah upon you and I that we have that we’ve never asked for?
At the same time, did you ever ask Allah? Oh, Allah, grant me the ability to continue to see in a way that I don’t need to adjust my eyes.
Supplication and calling out to Allah in terms of du’a as well as dhikr. Now, dhikr is the remembrance of Allah.
Allah says, Remember Me, I will remember you.
So in one narration, the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, says, Get acquainted with Allah during your days of ease, and Allah will be acquainted with you during your days of hardship.
As the evening enters every night of Ramadan, it brings with it a unique type of mercy of Allah and a special blessing that descends. We ask Allah to allow us to taste it.
it’s amazing how in the month of Ramadan, as much as we have given so much of importance to the abstaining from food and drink and so on, we have not given as much importance to the other pillars of Islam. And as we enter the evening, Allah makes it recommended to involve in much more of that pillar of Islam, a prayer.
What about the nourishment of the soul and the spirituality, the relationship with Allah? and the spirituality, the relationship with Allah?
Let’s fulfill at least two units every night in the month of Ramadan of the hajjud, and then see how Allah will bless you to fulfill it even outside of Ramadan.
Purify the intention is one of the cornerstones of acts of worship in this deen that Allah has sent to us. When you have a pure intention and when you really would like to do something for Allah and you want to please Him, you will make sure you’re conscious about everything else.
You purify your intention when it’s done solely for Allah to please Allah.
Then what happens? You begin to become conscious of the type of person you are.
A person who’s sincere would easily be able to work on their jealousy, their hatred, their ill feeling, the qualities of the heart that are negative.
Islam is all about being sincere. Sincere to Who: Be sincere with intension to Allah by worshiping Him alone
If we take a look at how Allah Almighty has blessed us and favored us, we would need to ponder over it in order for us to be able to realize the favors and the bounties of Allah upon us.
Look to begin with within yourself. Do you not have a body with limbs and organs, with bones you don’t even know the number of? Do you not have a heart that beats more than 100,000 times a day?
Allah Almighty tells us very clearly, If you are going to count the favors of Allah upon you, you will never count all of them because that is the system of Allah.
But the opposite is true. If you count the difficulties, the hardships, the calamities that Allah has thrown at you or made you go through, you will definitely be able to count them, all of them, and you would be able to say, I’ve got this problem and this and this and this and count them.
So if you want increase from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, you must make sure that you first ponder over the gifts of Allah.
You will see happier days. Be patient. You will see a reward for everything you’ve done. Be patient. Justice will be served. Be patient. It is a matter of time.
Keep calling to Allah. Be patient.
When we say be patience, in no ways are we telling you to continue living in a toxic situation that is destroying you, your mental health, and your physical health that is breaking you to pieces.
what’s more important than the provision of this world, the life is that of the Hereafter.
