Going Through Divorce More Than One & Failing To Get A Job Or Business!!

This motivational content is created from the lecture of Mufti Menk and Sheikh Tawfique Chowdhury regarding How to deal the situation when a calamity strikes like going through divorce more than one, keep failing to get a job or suffering loss in a business .

#MuftiMenk makes mention of when a problem happens it’s not the end of the world but even if it was the end of the world who would you return to to Allah. So you say Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un; what’s happening you are doing something wrong, don’t react in that way the what’s happening you are doing something wrong, don’t react in that way the reaction of giving up #hope is not part of the dictionary of a mumin. A believer does not give up hope.

Sheikh Tawfique Chowdhury gives a powerful speech on how tawakkul (the Islamic concept of reliance on God or “trusting in God’s plan”) makes a believer strong on the earth with taking action little bit beyond his/ her means when none is helping him / her in this duynia (the world).

Hajj: A Symbol Of Unity & A Message For Humanity And Signs Of Hajj Mabrur

In this Friday Jummah kuthbah (Sermon), #MuftiMenk points up why Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala makes #Hajj at one time; everyone has to go in the month of Dhul Hijjah to Mina and then to Arafah and why Allah decides that it has to be at a certain time when it comes to Hajj at certain place; Because He wants us to be together as an Ummah, He wants us to recognize each other to realize that you are but a number to realize that the arrogance, the haughtiness, the pride ,the wealth, the authority, the looks, everything becomes irrelevant you are in the saf (row) in salah, you are standing with whoever is next to you, you do not choose. So that’s how the objective of fulfilling Hajj (pilgrimage: fifth pillar of Islam) is a manifestation of #unity and a message for #humanity through achieving Hajj Mabrur (the signs of the accepted Hajj by Allah when one’s life is changed by quitting bad habits after performing hajj)

Do We Really Make The Dua [Sleeping Dua]

In this clip #MuftiMenk makes mentions of two amazing before going to bed – #sleepingdua ( sunnah dua of bedtime) narrating the importance of saying of these duas (supplications) for the given another chance by the Almighty letting us wake up in the morning to see the world once again as sleeping is a small death. These two duas are given in the following respectively:

Arabic: بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، فَإِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا، بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Transliteration: Bismika rabbî wadactu janbî wa bika arfacuhu. Fa-in amsakta nafsî fa-rhamhâ, wa in arsaltahâ fa-hfazhâ bi-mâ tahfazu bihi cibâdaka s-sâlihîn. Translation:

“In Your name my Lord, I lie down and in Your name I rise, so if You should take my soul then have mercy upon it, and if You should return my soul then protect it in the manner You do so with Your righteous servants.

” Arabic:بِاسْـمِكَ اللّهُـمَّ أَمـوتُ وَأَحْـيا

Transliteration: Bismika l-lâhumma amûtu wa ahyâ. Translation: “In Your name O Allah, I live and die.”

Oppression Will Be A Darkness On The Day Of Resurrection

In this lecture #MuftiMenk makes mention of the bad consequences of #oppression / #wrongdoings to others from the surah AL FURQAN in the Quran. He talks about two types of oppression / wrong doing: one is shirk which is associating a partner or rival to Allaah in Lordship (ruboobiyyah), worship or in His names and attributes and other one is doing wrong amongst each other. When ones does wrong to someone, he / she has to taste the result of that wrong either now or later on. He further mentions that the #darkness is on the day of judgement / Resurrection will only be a result of people having wronged others and an oppressor or a wrong doer will definitely face the darkness of his/ her action , he/ she will face the darkness of his /her deeds in the light of a Hadith.

Mufti Menk Quotes “Allah says -be careful of the duaa the one you have wronged, it will have far-reaching effects. when we see things go wrong in our lives inshaallah mostly it is a test from Allah; it is a test if that thing brought us closer to Allah, it was a blessing of Allah; your problem brought you closer to Allah it was definitely the test from Allah. But if it took you further away from Allah frustrated you and angered you and made you lose your sleep to the degree that your mind is being lost and you becoming angry and you can’t sleep and you can’t eat and you can’t drink then it’s the punishment of Allah.”

Don’t Despair When Allah Is In Control

Mufti Menk says that man always wants what he thinks is better for him not realizing that certain things are not good for you. So through the mercy of Allah, Allah says no matter how old you are even if you’re Allah says this I know it’s not good for you I’m going to keep it away from you. When He does that which I don’t want and you don’t want but He wants. It’s a favor if you believe in Allah you will automatically believe that whatever he has chosen for me is the absolute best there’s no chance then that can be anything besides the ultimate best regarding how to deal with #loss He further mentions that when something bad happens in your life; the first question- you ask yourself is what my role to play in this was. If you are to blame you need to rectify the blame, seek forgiveness and sort it out. But if you are not to blame you must be very happy very excited because now it is Allah in play and he is putting you where he knows it’s better for you.

#MuftiMenk quotes in this lecture “Don’t #despair Allah is in control; don’t look at things from a negative eye if you yourself are trying. When you need to look at it negatively is when you are a negative person; there’s nothing good about you”

Recite The Powerful Surah & Dua During Times Of Sorrow & Grief

#MuftiMenk makes mentions of reciting surah Ad-Dhuha with its meaning when you are struggling with Low Mood & #Depression in response to what should be recited if someone feels sad.

Another speaker: Shaykah Ali Hammuda mentions that Allah is just. This gateway is so effective in giving peace of mind and appreciating some of the Qadar (divine decree) of Allah and the #dua (supplication) the messenger (ﷺ) said any human being who was affected with sorrow grief sadness he / she should say the following words:

Transliteration: Allaahumma ‘innee ‘abduka, wabnu ‘abdika, wabnu amatika, nasiyatee biyadika, madhin fiyya hukmuka, adlun fiyya qadha’uka, asaluka bikulli ismin huwa laka, sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw anzaltahu fee kitabika, ‘aw allamthu ahadan min khaliqika, aw ista’tharta bihi fee ilmil ghaybi ‘indaka, án taj’alal-qurana rabee’a qalbee, wa noora sadree, wa jala’a huznee, wa thahaba hammee

Translation:O Allaah indeed I am Your slave, and the son of Your slave, and the son of Your female slave, my forelock is in Your Hand, Your command over me is forever executed and Your decree over me is just. I ask of You with all Your names, which belong to You, which You have named Yourself with, or which You have taught someone from Your creation or revealed it in Your Book or that which You have taken unto Your self with the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and light of my breast and keep away from me my sadness, and that my grief goes away –

Duties Towards The Quran ‘Jawami-Al-Kalim’

To speak about the duties (especially the importance of reciting and understanding) towards The #Quran #MuftiMenk makes mention of a very interesting hadith where Allah’s Apostle Prophet Muhammad (Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “I have been sent with ‘Jawami-al-Kalim (the shortest expression with the widest meaning)…..” as The Quran will bear #witness for us or against us on the day of #Qiyamah (Judgement) in this lecture.

Mufti Menk Quotes in this clip “The Quran is the speech of Rabbul izzati al-jalal , Allah (swt) -this Quran is so powerful that, even if you don’t understand it and if you repeat its words, it has in it such power because it is the word of Allah that cures all for your diseases and sickness, the sickness of the heart, the spiritual sickness, the social ills, those ills that might be physical as your sickness of every nature because it is the words spoken by Allah (Swt)”.

Recognise & Develop Two Things For Heading In The Right Direction

In this lecture #MuftiMenk highlights two things for heading in the right direction. Number one is to recognise the Allah / #Creator and Number two is to develop #relationship with other creatures made by the same Creator in this world Mufti Menk Quotes in this clip

“We respect not just other human beings, we respect other creatures of Allah; why? Because the same Creator has made them that’s the reason….”
