Don’t Despair When Allah Is In Control

Mufti Menk says that man always wants what he thinks is better for him not realizing that certain things are not good for you. So through the mercy of Allah, Allah says no matter how old you are even if you’re Allah says this I know it’s not good for you I’m going to keep it away from you. When He does that which I don’t want and you don’t want but He wants. It’s a favor if you believe in Allah you will automatically believe that whatever he has chosen for me is the absolute best there’s no chance then that can be anything besides the ultimate best regarding how to deal with #loss He further mentions that when something bad happens in your life; the first question- you ask yourself is what my role to play in this was. If you are to blame you need to rectify the blame, seek forgiveness and sort it out. But if you are not to blame you must be very happy very excited because now it is Allah in play and he is putting you where he knows it’s better for you.

#MuftiMenk quotes in this lecture “Don’t #despair Allah is in control; don’t look at things from a negative eye if you yourself are trying. When you need to look at it negatively is when you are a negative person; there’s nothing good about you”

Recite The Powerful Surah & Dua During Times Of Sorrow & Grief

#MuftiMenk makes mentions of reciting surah Ad-Dhuha with its meaning when you are struggling with Low Mood & #Depression in response to what should be recited if someone feels sad.

Another speaker: Shaykah Ali Hammuda mentions that Allah is just. This gateway is so effective in giving peace of mind and appreciating some of the Qadar (divine decree) of Allah and the #dua (supplication) the messenger (ﷺ) said any human being who was affected with sorrow grief sadness he / she should say the following words:

Duties Towards The Quran ‘Jawami-Al-Kalim’

To speak about the duties (especially the importance of reciting and understanding) towards The #Quran #MuftiMenk makes mention of a very interesting hadith where Allah’s Apostle Prophet Muhammad (Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “I have been sent with ‘Jawami-al-Kalim (the shortest expression with the widest meaning)…..” as The Quran will bear #witness for us or against us on the day of #Qiyamah (Judgement) in this lecture.

Mufti Menk Quotes in this clip “The Quran is the speech of Rabbul izzati al-jalal , Allah (swt) -this Quran is so powerful that, even if you don’t understand it and if you repeat its words, it has in it such power because it is the word of Allah that cures all for your diseases and sickness, the sickness of the heart, the spiritual sickness, the social ills, those ills that might be physical as your sickness of every nature because it is the words spoken by Allah (Swt)”.

Recognise & Develop Two Things For Heading In The Right Direction

In this lecture #MuftiMenk highlights two things for heading in the right direction. Number one is to recognise the Allah / #Creator and Number two is to develop #relationship with other creatures made by the same Creator in this world Mufti Menk Quotes in this clip

“We respect not just other human beings, we respect other creatures of Allah; why? Because the same Creator has made them that’s the reason….”

Hijab Is For Modesty Not Revealing Body By Skin-Tight Clothing

This following video clip is made for the purpose #Hijab in terms of Islam from the reminders of three prominent speakers regarding hijab with #Skintightclothing: #MuftiMenk Quotes in this clip, “when we say dress in Islam it doesn’t just mean what you’re putting on but it includes what how you carry yourself. When we talk of hijab, hijab is not just the type of clothing you have externally but it’s a condition that you carry yourself upon. It is a way of life as well. It’s part and parcel of your identity and that would include the men as well as the women”.

#DrZakirNaik makes mention of how woman’s status at time of Babylonian civilisation, Greek civilisation, Egyptian civilisation, Arab civilisation before revelations of the Quran was and How Islam uplifted women’s status. After Islam has given rights to the woman it has even shown as the way that women should maintain a status hijab has been prescribed to the woman so that she maintains the status. He mentions six-criteria for hijab given in the glorious Quran and hadith regarding clothing but this is not constitute them the complete hijab besides the hijab of the clothing also includes the behavior, the conduct, the attitude as well as the intention of the person. besides the hijab of the clothing there’s the hijab of the eyes, hijab of the heart, hijab of the mind, hijab of the thought it even includes the way a person talks, the way a person walks, and the way a person behaves.

Shaykh #OmarSuleiman speaks that Hijab is a symbol of modesty. It includes the way a person walk, talks, looks and thinks; All of it should be done modestly and applies to both Men and Women. So encourage wearing hijab properly and don’t beat each other down and make them feel like garbage help each other to get there but don’t blur the standard at the same time as about some hijabs….actually are a tease, they’re more of a tease than they are covering, don’t do something that would contradict the purpose of the hijab in response to the Question “what do you think of hijabis who wear tights”?

Soft Shoulder In Salah | An Important Hadith

In this clip #Mufti Menk reminds us an important hadith regarding #softshoulder in #salah /prayer. #Majid is the house of Allah. Anyone who makes others comfortable here and creates space for them is actually from among the best of people as the prophet (Saw) says the best from among you in Salah is the one who has the softest shoulders. So soften up, a little bit humble yourself.

Mufti Menk quotes here “Are you ready to give others a space? Are you ready to give a lift to someone? Are you ready to reach out to someone? If you cannot reach out to someone in your prayer, do you really think you’re going o reach out to people in anything else? It’s not possible; you need to love for others what you love for yourself from a #hadith”.

#MuftiMenk addresses the qualities what make the best of people (#bestpeople) in terms of #Islam and be beneficial to others as Allah loves those who do good. if you change yourself that is the moment that you will be contributing towards changing community and society, society has changed then many societies will change making it a whole country that would have changed the values become better, the morals what we live by becomes of a high standard and we become the best of people.

Mufti Menk Quotes here “Islam doesn’t teach you to look at others and worry about how good they are; but Islam says your value is based on how good you are not how bad they are…”

One Of The Most Powerful Acts of Worship Is How You Earn & Spend On

In this Jummah lecture (Friday’s Sermon / Khutbah) #MuftiMenk reminds us About a great act of worship one of those things that the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him says it is going to be the top four things that we will be asked about on the day of judgement before we even move, Allah says #earning and #spending is one of the most important acts of worship through which you will either get closer to your maker or distant remember that. we need to make sure that we earn it in a proper way and more than that make sure you spend it in the best possible way as Allah is watching.

Mufti Menk quotes here “Revisit your connection with your wealth because that will determine your connection with Allah. Earning and spending is one of the most important acts of worship. What you spend your money on is an act of worship that will be written against your name right up to the day of judgment on which day you shall be asked to give a record of every penny you spent where did you spend it and why did you spend it there…..”-

Allah Deletes The Bad But The Good Continues | Narrations Of Comfort

In this #MuftiMenk explains that how seeking #forgiveness for sins earns the mercy of Allah and Allah (swt) deletes bad but only the continues by giving better than a clean slate to His worshippers from the hadiths and the verses of the Quran. Mufti Menk also makes mention of four conditions of seeking of forgiveness for sins including recurring ones and how Allah (swt) replaces bad deeds (#sin) with the good deeds done by worshippers.

“Islam deletes that bad which you did before it. The good is carried forward; the bad is deleted. It’s better than the day you were born. The day you were born there was no good, no bad; the day you accepted Islam, the good continues and the bad is deleted”. – Mufti Menk

Let Not These Things Spoil Or Donate Good Deeds To Someone Else

In this video clip #MuftiMenk makes mention of how to protect #gooddeeds by not spoiling or donating some else through backbiting, arrogance, expecting recompense after helping someone, etc. Allah says if you want My mercy, you need to do good deeds as none of you will enter #jannah ( #paradise) with your own deeds, it’s the mercy of Allah and Allah loves those who do good deeds.

“ Change your attitude; do deeds for the sake of Allah when you gave someone something when you helped, someone, when you helped someone cross the road when you were kind to people, you were kind to them yes but for the sake of Allah I don’t want something from you in return” – Mufti Menk
