Allah says I will treat each one of My servants according to the perception he or she has of me. So have a good perception of Allah, have a beautiful perception of Allah.
when you sin, it’s not the end of everything just be, humble and just turn back to Allah, turn to Allah genuinely, become and just turn back to Allah, turn to Allah genuinely, become a better person.

Masjid being taken away from us and may Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala allow us to return to His houses , when the masjid reopens here is how my commitment to it is going Change, here’s what I’m going to do different…
Let’s obsess over whether our hearts are open to Allah right now so that when those houses are reopened to us, our longing Hearts will do right by them this time around…
Sha’ban in the Arabic language refers to anything that is placed between two significant things and so by virtue of the significance of the two things that’s placed between people lose sight of its importance and so Sha’ban being placed between Rajab and Ramadan like a valley … a valley separates two plots of land to significant pieces of land. So Sha’ban gets lost in between rajab and Ramadan and certainly that has spiritual significance as Well. from historical perspective Shaban is also the month in which ramadan was legislated. Allah (swt) revealed that the month of Ramadan is the month in which guidance was revealed to the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam. And in fact, of course the month of Revelation to all of the prophets of the past, before if you read surahtul Bakarah the verses of fasting were referring to …. to some specified days that were mandatory for the muslims and then once Ramadan came those days became … they became voluntary days of fasting.
so Sha’ban is virtuous in that the second year after Hijra The month of Ramadan was legislated in the month of Shaban and the second thing is that it’s the same month in which the Qibla was switched from Jerusalem to Mecca and that had an important significance on the …. that was very significant to the psyche of the Muslims that had just dealt with the Hijra. Just dealt With the migration and as they had left Mecca and long to Mecca, including the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam, Allah azzawajal turned their faces towards Mecca in a way that allowed them to connect in a beautiful way. So these two things happened in the first Sha’ban in the time of the Prophet (saw) with its spiritual significance.
So what are some of its virtues? number one It’s a month of fasting and typically people Lose sight of the fasting in this month because again, we’re thinking about Ramadan Ayesha (ra) she says that the prophet sallallahu wasallam used to fast until one would say that he would never stop fast and then he would have banned in fasting until one would say that he would never fast, meaning that generally speaking in the life of the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam, he would fast these long periods of time and you would think that he was never going to stop fasting and then as the prophet (saw) would not fast any of the voluntary days or any days outside of the periods of fasting to where he thought he would never fast against them. She says (ra) I never saw the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam fast and entire month outside of Ramadan and the prophet (saw) specifically expressed a love for fasting that month. It was a mohaba, it was a desire that he had to fast that month as an another narration, ayesha (ra) she said that the most beloved of months for the month in which the messenger of Allah Love To Fast more than anything else was Sha’ban indeed. He used to join it to Ramadan, now used to join its ramadan here means it was as if, it was as if it was connected to Ramadan, because of the amount of fasting that the prophet salallahu alihi wasalam would do in that month of Shaban.
So it was as if it was connected to ramadan as the prophet (saw) Continued from fasting the majority of the month of Shaban to fasting all of Ramadan. Now the question becomes why what is the wisdom? How much of Sha’ban should we fast? What are some other practices that we can take undertaking Sha’ban and what are some things that relate to us specifically in this time in the coronavirus era as where, you know, generally speaking quarantines and not able to go out and do the things that we would typically do. So the first thing we take is from A question that the prophet (saw) was asked directly about why he fasted Sha’ban so much and understanding the why of Shaban helps us understand how we should structure our fasting accordingly… Usama ibn Zayd (ra) He says that I asked the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam Why is it that you fast more in Shaban than any other month? I have seen you and you just you’re fasting this entire month it seems but though you’re practicing that you’re not preaching of its virtues to the companions. So why is it yeah Rasullah that you seemed to give this month so much importance and he said sallallahu wasallam that this is a month that people neglect between rajab and Ramadan, a month that most people have become heedless, people don’t recognize the importance of this month because it’s lost between rajab and Ramadan and he said salallahu alaihe wasalam, it is a month in which The actions are presented. The Deeds are presented to the lord of the worlds. So I love that my actions would be presented to the lord of the worlds while I am in a state of fasting. So this is a powerful Hadith and it gives us two layers to really unpack about the gems of this month of the Shaban , scholars mentioned that the times to compete for Allah’s pleasure most are the times in which Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala is most forgotten. The times that the . ….people of Excellence seek to compete for Allah’s pleasure to really stand out are the times that most people are neglectful of Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala and his rights upon them. And so that’s when you compete for Allah’s pleasure, when everyone when everyone else is in is heedless. And so, you know, there are times when everyone is doing Ibadah, everyone is doing acts of worship and then there are times when most people are not and so that’s what makes For example the night prayers So special, most people are sleeping and there you are standing up in front of your lord and saying yeah Allah here I am presenting myself to you. And so these are the times most people do everything but ibadah, and so your Worship in these times in particular shows that you really want the pleasure of Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala.***** mentions another wisdom of the fasting of Shaban. He said that one of the things that it does is that it takes away the hardship of fasting and leaves only the sweetness of it for the time of Ramadan. This is a beautiful thing. after the 15th of Shaban Now that Hadith is not as authentic but there is an authentic Hadith where the prophet (saw) do not proceed Ramadan with one or two days of Shaban exhausting. So don’t fast the last day or two meaning the 29th or the 30th. or the 28th and 29th of Sha’ban as you go into ramadan. Now this Hadith has to be reconciled with another Hadith where the Prophet (saw) asked ***** these days of Sha’ban, pick some days and fast in Sha’ban and make it a means of connecting to Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala in a special way between you and him. the Fifteenth of Sha’ban What is the virtue of this night with there’s a narration, ibn Abbas (ra) frequently quoted it lailatul barat, the day that we are freed from the Hellfire, a very weak opinion by the way , Ikram (Rah) he said that it’s LLaylat al-Qadr that’s very weak because as we know that in the last 10 nights of Ramadan, but what is it about this night of the 15th of Shaban and how do we We observe it? the prophet salallahu Alihi wasalam, authentic narration the prophet (saw) said that Allah looks at his creation on the night of the 15th of Shaban and Allah forgives the entirety of his creation,
Allah forgives Everyone. Okay. Allah forgives the entirety of his creation except for a mushrik someone who Associates a partner with him. Okay, or ….. someone who has such … whose heart is consumed with enmity. So someone who’s holding a grudge another narration which mention someone who murdered someone. Okay, so a murderer and this is obviously the consequence …. of great hatred in the heart and the enmity in the heart of a person that he would actually take the life of someone else. So again on that night Allah looks at the entirety of his creation and he forgives everyone that does not associate a partner with him, that does not carry enmity towards their brother or sister, strong hatred and spite towards the brother or sister or a murderer on that night. Now, of course a murderer can be forgiven if they seek forgiveness from Allah, but this is just Allah’s beautiful General amnesty that he’s given on this night. Okay, the 15th of Shaban. This is beautiful for many reasons. And also it has a direct call to action for us. The first thing is that if the prophet (saw) said that this is the month …. that the actions are presented to Allah and this is the particular night that Allah looks at those deeds and Allah subhana Allah forgives all of them. He cleans your record as you go into Ramadan. Okay, he cleans your record as you go into ramadan So you’re granted this amnesty. now approach ramadan without the burden of your sins. But with the longing of your creator, longing for Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala because your lord is so merciful that in this month before halfway through shaaban. He looks at the creation and he forgives the entire creation so long as there’s no shirk, hatred or murderer , okay. So no Polytheism or enmity or murder? alright? So what’s the call to action here? You know if you’re trying to prepare yourself for Ramadan, there’s the preparation with the recitation of the Quran.
There’s the preparation with the fasting but what about preparing the heart. nothing consumes the hearts and distracts it from Allah subhanaw Taala, like a grudge. Okay. Shahana is one you have an obsession. with someone okay, you hate someone so much that your heart is consumed by the enmity and this is directly connected by the way to the other form of presenting the Deeds which is the prophet (saw) said every Monday and Thursday when the Deeds are presented to Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala, Allah forgives the people except for two brothers or sisters that are quarrelling and Allah Subhan Allah says Leave these two until they solve their Grudge, leave these two until they remove their Grudge. And so this is the annual night that Allah subhanaw Taala would look at the creation. Allah (swt) would forgive everyone without shirk or enmity or murder. This is the time to really really think deeply is that Grudge worth me missing out on this incredible reward right? Do I really want my deed Not be presented to Allah and to be amongst those people who are not forgiven by Allah subhanaw Taala on that night, is my hatred of that person worth me sacrificing the love of Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala and so seek forgiveness from people. If you’ve hurt someone suck it up, remove your ego, call them seek forgiveness. Okay remove that Grudge, ask Allah (swt) to forgive the one that hurt you as much as you can do not keep anything in your hearts of hatred Or a grudge for Envy because that
will directly stand in the way of you receiving the reward of this blessed night of the 15th of Sha’ban. So that Hadith is authentic and just like you’re preparing your tongue with the recitation of the Quran, you’re preparing your body with fasting, you’re preparing your soul with the remembrance of Allah, you prepare your heart by removing that Grudge in sha Allah Taala, removing that hatred that you have of your brother or sister in sha Allah so that you can Clear the way for the Quran to consume your heart for Ramadan and for Allah subhanawTaala to be the full focus of your thoughts and attention during the month of Ramadan and Beyond now, how do we mark this night? Is there a special practice to mark this night? fasting the 15th of Shaban is established not just because or not even if it’s not because of fasting the 15th of Shaban as the 15th of Shaban, fasting the 15th of every month the 13th, 14th and 15th of every month is sunnah Okay, so fasting the 13th 14th and 15th, which are …. the white days because the Moon is fullest, the Thirteenth Fourteenth and fifteen, the Bright Days, fast those days
anyway, so yes by all means it is Sunnah, so fast the 15th of Shaban as part of the understanding of that Hadith of the Prophet (saw) how else do we mark this night? You’ll read the books of shafi………. (rah) So many other Scholars who wrote about the general observance of this night, so obviously if it’s a night Allah (Swt) has marked as a night that he forgives the entirety of his creation so long as they so long as they do not have polytheism or a or enmity or or murder standing in the way then obviously you want to be up Qiyāmul Layl reciting the Quran, remembering Allah (swt) However, if you don’t find any Hadith that talk about specifically ibadah, okay to talk about specific acts of worship just the general idea that this is a night that is to be observed. How You observe it? observe with the way that you’d observe any other night, but obviously with the knowledge of that beautiful time that Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala .. will forgive us for all of our sins on that night …. yes by all means a night of prayer, a night of recitation, a night of night of remembrance to recite a thousand kuls or to pray these many rakats or you’ll find a lot of things that get passed around to recite on lailatul barat just avoid that and just wake up, pray, read, fast the day inshallah tala because that’s something that’s established. And again more than anything else prepare your heart by removing the grudges from it, forgiving people and if you can’t find reason to forgive them for them then forgiving them for yourself, allowing To be a chance for us to not be to not be barricaded from Allah subhanaw Taala, but allowing the chance to forgive them, allowing us the chance to forgive them so that we can find that peace within ourselves and find that reward with Allah (swt) the famous story that we reflected on with Abu Bakr as-siddiq. Radiyaallahu ta’ala anhu some time ago Let them forgive and pardon, don’t you want Allah subhanaw Taala to forgive you as Well, don’t you want Allah (swt) pardons you as well? And that was with the man who had slandered his daughter and Allah (swt) is telling Abu Bakr as-siddiq Radiyaallahu ta’ala. that it’s not about him. It’s about you and what you want from Allah subhanaw taala, and so opening your hearts by removing the distraction of all else so that your heart can properly love Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala so that you can properly heal so that you can stay focused and not be distracted by those grudges not be distracted. By that hatred, not be obsessed You know I get this question. Sometimes is it okay to make dua against someone and…. the prophet (saw) said the supplication of the oppressed has no barrier between in Allah (swt), so the answer is yes. If you’ve been wronged you can make duas against the person that’s wronged you and no one can remove that from them of the muzlum, Tell the one that suppressed. Don’t make dua against the one that’s wrong too. But one thing that I do say is don’t waste all of your Dua against the one that wronged you or else you’re wrong and yourself by not spending your supplication properly. This is a chance to get close to Allah. You have a lot to talk to Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala about, you have a lot to remove from your own record. You have a lot to aim for, you have a lot to strive for, so taking the time out to say, you know, what if I can’t find any reason to move on from this, from that person side.. I’m going to move on or from it for myself. And so that I can seek that elevation with my Lord that elevation status that peace of mind, that purity of heart so I can focus on doing what’s important and I can focus on making the strides necessary for my own betterment and for my own akirah, for my own here after, especially with the coronavirus and the you know, this pandemic going around, You have to think about how quickly things are unfolding right now and death is always imminent, whether there’s a pandemic going around or not. Each one of us is always threatened by death at every moment of Our Lives. It’s unpredictable and it could take any one of us and so many people died with unresolved disputes, with unresolved grudges and having let those things consume them. never having the had the opportunity to reconcile. In fact so many people let others die without having that chance to reconcile with them and then live the rest of their lives with regret for not having taken that step to just say, you know what it’s not worth it. I’m going to put this behind me and I’m going to move on for the sake of Allah subhanaw taala. And so it’s a very simple reflection. But as I’ve said in a previous video, you know, holding a grudge is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die. Especially true when it comes to the reward of Allah that’s being presented to us right now, in Sha’ban is compounded by the pandemic of the coronavirus and how quickly things are unfolding, take that time Even if it’s someone you know that you’ve had a grudge with for a long time take that time to say, you know, what I’m going to be the person to remove that and even if the circumstances don’t allow, even if that person is not going to want to move on, my hand is extended, right? my heart is Open to forgiveness and moving on, no matter who it is. No matter what it is. So yes, if there was any time for us to squash Muslim social media drama, It’s now but more importantly if there was any time for us to squash The Grudges and our lives the disputes in our lives the …you know, even even if they’ve been in the background for a long time Now’s the Time For Us inshaallah time to really think about doing that so may Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala allow us all to to be able to do that and to Move on and again that doesn’t mean relinquishing your claims, that doesn’t mean relinquishing your rights by any means what that means is moving on for your sake so that Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala could show you that forgiveness in that Mercy as well. And especially with people that we love that we had disputes with. it’s important for us to put that behind us, Inshaallah. We don’t want to have the regrets after they’ve passed away or let them have their grid after we passed away and then the only time that that gets resolved is In the presence of Allah (swt). Now’s the Time the 15th of Shaban is upon us. If we even live to see that to clear our hearts for Ramadan so that we can be prepared for. if we even live to see that and if we don’t then it’s still time inshallah tala because tonight might be our last night, tomorrow might be our last day, no grudges worth missing out on the Forgiveness of Allah subhanaw Taala, or leaving something in the background that distracts and pulls all of us away. So may Allah (swt) forgive all of us for The wrongdoings that we’ve committed against others and may Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala heal us with the wrongdoings that were committed against us May Allah (swt) allow us to collectively remain focused on him and connect to him and to pull one another up for the sake of Allah (swt) May Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala allow our hearts to be …. to be free of those things, free of those flaws, free of that hatred free of those impurities as we approach the month of Sha’ban, may Allah subhanaw taala prepare our hearts for the month of Ramadan by conditioning them properly in the month of Shaban allahumma. Ameen.Sha’ban in the Arabic language refers to anything that is placed between two significant things and so by virtue of the significance of the two things that’s placed between people lose sight of its importance and so Sha’ban being placed between Rajab and Ramadan like a valley … a valley separates two plots of land to significant pieces of land. How You observe it? observe with the way that you’d observe any other night, but obviously with the knowledge of that beautiful time that Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala .. will
forgive us for all of our sins on that night …. yes by all means a night of prayer, a night of recitation, a night of night of remembrance to recite a thousand kuls or to pray these many rakats or you’ll find a lot of things that get passed around to recite on lailatul barat just avoid that and just wake up, pray, read, fast the day inshallah tala because that’s something that’s established. Radiyaallahu ta’ala anhu some time ago Let them
forgive and pardon, don’t you want Allah subhanaw Taala to forgive you as Well, don’t you want Allah (swt) pardons you as well?
If we even live to see that to clear our hearts for Ramadan so that we can be prepared for. if we even live to see that and if we don’t then it’s still time inshallah tala because tonight might be our last night, tomorrow might be our last day, no grudges worth missing
out on the Forgiveness of Allah subhanaw Taala, or leaving something in the background that distracts and pulls all of us away. So Sha’ban gets lost in between rajab and Ramadan and certainly that has spiritual significance as Well. from historical perspective Shaban is also the month in which ramadan was l
egislated. Allah (swt) revealed that the month of Ramadan is the month in which guidance was revealed to the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam. And in fact, of course the month of Revelation to all of the prophets of the past, before if you read surahtul Bakarah the verses of fasting were referring to …. to some specified days that were mandatory for the muslims and then once Ramadan came those days became … they became voluntary days of fasting. so Sha’ban is virtuous in that the second year after Hijra The month of Ramadan was legislated in the month of Shaban and the second thing is that it’s the same month in which the Qibla was switched from Jerusalem to Mecca and that had an important significance on the …. that was very
significant to the psyche of the Muslims that had just dealt with the Hijra. So what are some of its virtues? number one It’s a month of fasting and typically people Lose sight of the fasting in this month because again,
we’re thinking about Ramadan Ayesha (ra) she says that the prophet sallallahu wasallam used to fast until one would say that he would never stop fast and then he would have banned in fasting until one would say that he would never fast, meaning that generally speaking in the life of the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam, he would fast these long periods of time and you w
ould think that he was never going to stop fasting and then as the prophet (saw) would not fast any of the voluntary days or any days outside of the periods of fasting to where he thought he would never fast against them. Now this Hadith has to be reconciled with another Hadith where the Prophet (saw) asked ***** these days of Sha’ban, pick some days and fast in Sha’ban and make it a means of connecting to Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala in a special way between you and him. the Fifteenth of Sha’ban What is the virtue of this night with there’s a narration, ibn Abbas (ra) frequently quoted it lailatul barat, the day that we are freed from the Hellfire, a very weak opinion by the way , Ikram (Rah) he said that it’s LLaylat al-Qadr that’s very weak because as we know that in the last 10 nights of Ramadan, but what is it about this night of the 15th of Shaban and how do we We observe it? the prophet salallahu Alihi wasalam, authentic narration the prophet (saw) said that Allah looks at his creation on the night of the 15th of Shaban and Allah forgives the entirety of his creation, Allah forgives Everyone. Okay remove that Grudge, ask Allah (swt) to forgive the one that hurt you as much as you can do not keep anything in your hearts of hatred Or a grudge for Envy because that will directly stand in the way of you receiving the reward of this blessed night of the 15th of Sha’ban. Is there a special practice to mark this night? fasting the 15th of Shaban is established not just because or not even if it’s not because of fasting the 15th of Shaban as the 15th of Shaban, fasting the 15th of every month the 13th, 14th and 15th of every month is sunnah Okay, so fasting the 13th 14th and 15th, which are …. the white days because the Moon is fullest, the Thirteenth Fourteenth and fifteen, the Bright Days, fast those days anyway, so yes by all means it is Sunnah, so fast the 15th of Shaban as part of the understanding of that Hadith of the Prophet (saw) how else do we mark this night? Ameen.
I want to tell you not to panic, don’t worry. things will be fine. If you look at the percentage of deaths, it’s actually very small compared to those affected. So what we need to do is we need to make the most of this time to turn to the almighty in every way. What is it that actually pleases Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala? to be honest, in a Hadith qudsi He tells us what He loves the most and there he says there is nothing more loved to me than that Which I made compulsory.
So it’s obvious from that that he only made it compulsory because he loves it. So if you want the love of Allah and you would like to earn the pleasure of Allah something you need to do is fulfill that which is obligatory compulsory in terms of your five daily prayers especially, so if something is compulsory and Allah has made it compulsory fulfill it. You will earn his pleasure when you do it, do it properly do it. because You want to do it, do it because you enjoy it. Take your time.
Don’t cut Corners, the same would apply, the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam tells us in that narration that thereafter once the obligations are done a worshipper continues to engage in that which is voluntary but recommended in terms of Sunnah or nafal in the Arabic language and they would gain even more closeness to Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala. similarly What would displease Allah is to engage in that which is Haram. So we need to make sure we talk properly, We use our time properly, many people unfortunately are using their time very destructively online. They are recording themselves in an inappropriate way and posting it up. They are visiting sites, They’re not supposed to, this might be, might be in the case of some, the last few days of yours on Earth Is that how you want to spend them?
I think it’s important to remind each other as much as there is hope that we would perhaps most of us survive and I pray that all of us survived but that having been said you and I know the reality is people are going and Allah alone knows who’s going to go? don’t spend the last few days or the days of hardship in a way that you’re earning even more of the … or the displeasure of Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala to say the least. This is just a short message.
I thought I’d share with you to encourage myself and yourselves. To take a moment to fulfill that which is compulsory properly, enjoy it and then don’t do that which is destructive of that which will earn the displeasure of Allah. may Allah make it easy for everyone of us. This is just sincere sound advice from your brother. It starts off with myself And then for every one of us, I really pray for those who have put their lives at risk to serve others. There are so many more, thanking the doctors and those on the front line and so many others have messaged me to say there Are people who are helping the elderly, there are drivers. There are public workers, There are so many who are still out there, risking their lives many of you have stayed away from home, many of you have long shifts, many of you are very tired, exhausted and I’ve been reading so many stories. Congratulations. We have no words to describe the brilliant work that you’re doing. this goes to all the staff, the emergency staff, the doctors, the surgeons, the nurses, the helpers ,everyone there are so many out there whom we may not even know. may Allah bless you. We’re really praying for you. And we consider you the true heroes and heroines of this particular struggle against coronavirus covid-19. Please don’t give up. may Allah bless you all and Grant you a beautiful recompense.
People come to the prophet (saw) and say who do you love the most? and can you imagine Ali and Fatima (ra) asking the prophet (saw) which of us to do you love more? but now it’s Ali and Fatima (ra) asking the prophet (saw) by the way, who Do You Love More? What do you think the answer of the prophet (saw) was? both… the prophet (saw) had the most eloquent answer. First of all the prophet (saw) can’t lie. Alright. his heart is attached to fatima (Ra) He loves fatima (Ra) and fatima (Ra) was very special to him. But at the same time he doesn’t want to answer that question in a way that would hurt Ali (ra) Who he also raised like his own son. Right? And he loved Ali (ra) like his own son. He’s a son, he’s his cousin.
He’s his brother in Medina. He’s so much to him. So they asked the prophet (saw) Which of us two is more beloved to you? So he looked at Ali (ra) and he said she is more beloved to me than you but you are more precious to me than her. So he gave them an answer that they could both take some pride in right? of course, there are certain connotations to that what he means by that and you are more beloved to me o Fatima because the prophet (saw) truly loved her that much, now the first problem that arises in this marriage: Is not that they had an argument, it’s not that they… the poverty got to them. It’s the distance from the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam Once they got married, realized they were poor, they were distant from the messenger Sallallahu wasallam, their home was far away and they felt a distance from him. Fatima (Ra) grew up as the daughter and then ….. the mother of her father , of the prophet (saw), Ali (ra) also felt the distance from the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam, and if you look at an old map of Medina, you’ll That the …. the apartment of the Prophet (saw) if you will the small homes of the Prophet (saw) where you would see his grave now, so his…. where his grave is actually the room of who? the appartment of Ayesha (ra) that’s where the home of the prophet (Saw) and ayesha (Ra) was and then you you have these small homes that run to the left side of the Masjid, right?
And they run two by two, taking up that That area and the house was far away from the prophet (saw) house. Now all of the homes of the prophet (Saw) actually belonged or were built on the land of one man. And his name was… and his name doesn’t come up. I’m not even going to bother asking if someone knows that MashaAllah, but it’s a very hard name to find. His name is Haritha Ibn an-Nu`man’ (Ra) Haritha Ibn an-Nu`man’…. He’s not that well known from the companions, but he owned a huge piece of land. Next to the area of the Masjid. So whenever the prophet (saw) would get married. He’d give him a new extension of the land so that the prophet (saw) could have a home there. So when Ali and Fatima (ra) got married the prophet (saw) was too embarrassed to ask Haritha (ra) for more lands so that he could have a home for fatima and ali (Ra) close to him. So Haritha (Ra) saw in the prophet (saw) one day, some sort of emotion some longing, so he said to him do you miss your daughter Fatima (ra) and the prophet (saw) said yes, and he knew what he was indicating. He said that I was too embarrassed to ask you because you’ve already given us so much. so, how are this is the humility of the prophet (saw) he could snap his finger and everyone will throw everything at him, right? But he doesn’t want to take advantage of the kindness of Haritha, so he said I didn’t want to ask you for more and Haritha said by Allah the land that I give to you is more beloved to me than the land that I keep with me. I love giving you lands, you could take all the properties that you want. It’s okay. So he told the prophet (Saw) why don’t you take this piece of land which is right across from your house with ayesa (Ra)? Okay. So why don’t you take that piece of land right across from your house with ayesa (ra) So the prophet (saw) smiled and he made Dua for him.
He prayed for him that Allah would give him a palace in Paradise. So fatima and Ali (ra)’s home was then built. adjacent to the house of the prophet (saw) and ayesa (ra) in fact, the only window that you have in those small. If you look at the models of how those homes were built. It was only one window, the window of ayesa (ra) and the window of Fatima (ra) were facing each other, right? So it’s very close to the house of the Prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam, so they moved close to him, but then you had the problem of poverty. As I mentioned in the story of Ali (ra) and Ali (Ra) was always poor, always in poverty, right his whole life is defined by intense poverty and the prophet (saw) himself lived in great poverty. So it’s not like the prophet (saw) made it and then left his daughter in poverty, no, the prophet (saw) himself was in deep poverty until the day of his death, right? the prophet (saw) never moved into a palace. He never ate more than a meal a day and it was usually just some dates and water. Prophet (saw) was in poverty. So Ali and fatima (ra) reached the point of extreme poverty and Ali (Ra) developed back pain and fatima (Ra) developed blisters in her hands because of the amount of work that they had to do just to stay afloat and she was exhausted. And Ali (ra) said to Fatima radiyaallahu ana why don’t you ask the prophet (saw) if he could provide a khadem.. a servant. And a maid, someone help out in the home and fatima (Ra) said that I’m too embarrassed to ask him. Ali (Ra) said why don’t you just go and just inquire just see if the prophet (saw), you know the prophet (saw) had high emotional intelligence, he could tell what his daughter would want or.. you know, and he would be able to read it and prophet (saw) would likely as we know his character would likely go ahead and say Yes fine, you know, here you go and so fatima (ra) went to the house of the the prophet (saw) after Salatul fajr, after the fajr prayer, the next day and found the Aisha may Allah be pleased with her and inquired about the prophet (saw) and ayesa (ra) said that the prophet (Saw) had not come home yet. So he was still in the Masjid doing, remembrance… He was praying, he was remembering Allah. He was supplicating, as he would do for a long time after the morning prayer after fajr up until the time of sunrise. So she went home, now on the prophet (saw) came home, Ayesa (Ra) told the prophet (saw) that fatima came looking for you today. prophet (saw) immediately went to the house and he knocked the door and Ali (Ra) man, who is it?
So the prophet (saw) said, that it’s it’s me. Ali (Ra) said ya rasulallah … He said o messenger of Allah wait, they wanted to get the house ready. It was nighttime. Okay, and they wanted to get the house ready and you know be a little bit more presentable, right? when the messenger of God comes to the home. the prophet (saw) said he said just stay as you are, stay seated as you are. Now, if you remember last week the house of Ali and Fatima (ra) had one bed. It was also their couch. It was also where they fed their animals from, so they literally sat up on the bed and the prophet (saw) said don’t get up just stay right there and it was a cold night. Okay, so the prophet (saw)…..they were kind of wrapped in the blanket. the prophet (saw) went Inside and he sat between them and he looked at Fatima (ra) and he said yeah fatima and she said yes o messenger of God. He said did you come looking for me today? So she said yes, oh my father. he said fatima what is it that you’re asking for?
Oh Fatima, what caused you to inquire? So she said to the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam that I heard that maybe you had a servant or a maid or someone that could help me. Maybe there was someone that could help me because it becomes difficult in the home. the prophet (saw) said who told you that there might be some servants or there might be a maid or someone to be able to help you out. She didn’t want to throw Ali (ra) under the bus because Ali (Ra) was the one that told her that I think that he might… he might be able to provide a servant or a maid or khadem to help you.
So she just said someone told me. so the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam said shall I not o Fatima shall I not give you something that is greater, that is more beneficial than a servant or maid to assist. So they both said of course, now the thinking was that maybe he’s going to give you know, he’s going to.. he’s going to find a way to have multiple needs or multiple servants to help them out. the prophet (saw) is about to make the situation really good for them. Right? the prophet sallallahu wasallam instead said when you go to sleep say subhanallah 33 times, just to glorify God so say subhanallah 33 times, say alhamdulillah, 33 times meaning praise Allah 33 times and say Allahu Akbar 34 times. Okay that God is greatest 34 times. So glorify him 33 times, praise him 33 times and declare his greatness 34 times, which would make a hundred. They said … Allah will do that yeah rasulullah and then they said well and also…. is there a servant the prophet (saw) said and this is powerful because it shows you the ethics and the Integrity Of the prophet (saw). He said I can’t give you a khadem (servant) I can’t provide a servant for you and leave the people of .. which were the homeless people that slept in the Masjid. Okay, So the majid had homeless people …… for the people that slept in the back of the masjid. He said I can’t leave them and the orphans from the Battle of Badr empty-handed. Okay, so they were orphans from the battle, prophet (saw) that I can’t give them, I can’t.. I can’t help you and then leave them in their way, but the prophet (saw) said if you say the these words every night before you sleep Allah will provide for you in ways that are far greater than anything that you’re asking for. Ali (ra) said that I never missed there was not a single night, a single night that I did not say those words after that, subhanallah 33 times, Alhumdillah 33 times, Allah Akbar 34 times and he said I swear by Allah that we were increased in strength and sustenance and we never felt like we needed a khadem or needed a maid or a servant after that that Allah I had enriched us in this situation or gave us the strength so that we didn’t need anything after that.
Recite this Dua / Supplication daily when you wake up in the Morning and make it practicing in the Family!
Hope you guys are well. I thought I’d just give you a quick message to say I’m doing fine, Masha Allah. Hope everyone else is fine. And Alhumdillah, today I just want to say something very very quick, my brothers and sisters, It’s not the end of the world that they will be a lot that’s going to happen. But everyone, mashallah, this is the time not of making money. This is the time of reaching out to others with whatever money you’ve made all along. This is the the time of not saying them and us, it is all of us. We’re all together. If this is not the time of differences, this is the time of unity. This is the time of sticking together. This is the time of being very very strong.
This is the time of loving, loving for the sake of the almighty. reach out to humankind. This is the time when the real you has to show up. It’s not going to be about you or me. It’s about us honestly and this’s why don’t try and make money out of this situation because you are going to be in the same predicament and you don’t want someone to make money out of you. Remember that so people are charging an arm and a leg for basic necessities. I think in many countries that’s illegal, but from an ethical perspective, it’s also illegal. Ethically it’s wrong. So remember my brothers and sisters don’t abuse a situation like this. You have to come up and for the sake of the Almighty. Reach out to others. the wealthiest of the wealthy are helpless. the most powerful of the powerful are helpless.
The most famous of all are totally helpless, those who are the most beautiful and pretty of all are helpless. Those who have the best jobs are helpless. They are equal in the same line as the homeless subhanallah. So let’s reach out to everyone and remember if you’ve made a lot of money, this is your time to give back that money. What are you going to do with Millions? if you’re going to die in the next two weeks, you’d rather use that money to save so many lives by the will of Allah. He will save your life subhanallah. So remember this my brothers and sisters, it is not a time of panic, we will get over this by the will of Allah but the next few weeks perhaps into a few months. It’s going to be very different, be strict. Remember to be patient. Remember to be kind, you know, there are people who are hand-to-mouth earning every day and that brings them there. Plate of food. What about them? reach out to them. I was so impressed when I watched not just my Lahore in the UK giving food to the homeless, but so many others and I’ve seen so much giving you know, giving. it’s a time of giving it’s not a time of making money.
This is not the time to milk money from the people. It’s a time to give money back, the big companies, the big people those who are wealthy businessmen. It’s your time to give back to society and Community to reach out to those who are really going. Struggle the homeless. If you have people renting your facilities be relaxed. Don’t let them worry about the rentals. Don’t let them worry about things, Allah will help you, Allah open your doors when you reach out to others and make it easy on them. Give them perhaps a month or two Grace. What are you going to lose? Nothing poor people are actually worried. They earn a salary. They have to buy the food. They have to buy so much. They have to pay rentals. They have to pay bills even countries and even Huge parastatals and various other companies that are providing Essentials, like electricity and water and whatever else, I really feel that a message should go out to them to say this is the time to be very very kind and to reach out to others to give them Grace give them Grace. You know, why? humanity is in it together.
It’s not about Muslims or Jews or Christians or anyone else or Hindus or Buddhists or whoever it is about Humanity. This is about Humanity. show that you’re a human being before anything else and show that you’re a Muslim, show that you are a Believer, you believe we’re all in it together. You need to reach out to people. if you don’t at a time like this, trust me, you’re really not fulfilling your duty that you’re supposed to have on Earth because like I said, if if you’re ripping people off during their time of need you are going to have a time of need very very soon and with your billions. You won’t receive the help of the almighty, the almighty says to us through the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him that the assistance of the almighty will continue to be with someone for as long as that person is busy helping another. So if you’ve made your money, it’s the time to reach out reach out to those who work for you, those who work with you, those others who are in need.
Like I said those who are wealthy, those who are landlords. be very very kindest. This is not the time to go and demand to go and make issue and so on give people reprieve, give them time give them a little bit of leeway. Subhanallah. We’re in it together my brothers and sisters if you have something share it with someone, this is the time of sharing, this is the time of caring, if something has worked with you then share it with others. I want to share with you something very interesting a few days ago like about four, five days ago and subhanallah. I want to share with you something interesting about four, five days ago. I said that I had a scratch in my throat, some of you remember that and you know, what some people misunderstood it to say. The man has covid, the man is dying. The man is in ICU, some said he has died already and so on that’s all incorrect. All of it is just tale, Subhan Allah. I want to tell you something, there is something called the black seed oil that works wonders, a quarter. Teaspoon 1/2 a spoon last thing at night. Let it go into your throat , you can actually swallow it. And it will have a biting feeling at the back of your throat as you lie down for about 10 minutes after which you can have a bit of hot water that last thing at night first thing in the morning. Some people cannot take half a spoon. It’s a bit too hot for them. You know, it has an after effect maybe but when I tried it that days trust me in my throat the scratch had gone. Well, I’m sure it’s the prayers of all those who thought I was dead. May Allah bless you all together with hot water a bit of vitamin D, have some vitamin C, have a bit of of protein, have a bit of zinc. Whatever you can, eat healthy exercise. Look, I’ve got a little yard.
I’m going to move my head to show you the back is very it’s not so big. It’s very small. But mashallah. This is where my kids would actually spend some time. We’re fortunate. There is an enclosure. We’re much more fortunate than the First World countries who live in high-rise buildings those who live in high-rise buildings who only have a balcony we in Africa have and not only Africa in some parts of the third world. We have much more space we have And imagine it’s amazing. It’s a gift of the almighty when Allah takes one thing away from you. He’s given you other things. He’s given the first world so much.
He’s given the third world some other things a different type of so much but it’s a matter of being able to look at it. We are all blessed. The almighty has blessed us. Like I said, we’re going to come out of this by the will of Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala, my brother’s my sister’s so I shared with you the black seed oil that doesn’t mean I’m sick at all, please but I’m sharing it with you because I love you, I care for you, if something’s worked for me or for Anyone else? I’m going to tell you how and what it was, you know, don’t drink cold drinks at all everything you drink should be warm preferably. If not warm than at least room temperature. Remember that, you know, the some people have told me that the steaming they’re faced with boiling water sometimes with oil with Menthol or Vic’s or something in there has really helped them subhanallah. So that’s something you can go by, let everyone benefit from it. A lot of people are sitting in lockdown. A lot of people are sitting in SelfIsolation Nation a lot of people might be in quarantine, whatever you’re in I pray that Allah has mercy on you. It’s not going to kill the whole world. It’s not the end of the world. Like I said yesterday we are we are worried and concerned about the elderly from amongst us. We are concerned about those who have a an immune system. That’s not as strong from amongst us.
That’s what we are more concerned about. My brothers, my sisters. I’m so happy to be able to speak to you and to share with you a point of benefit, at least the Almighty I asked him to bless me and bless every one of you has given me this chance. He’s the one who’s given me this chance of sharing a bit of goodness. So at least if I’m helping you, he’s going to help me, right? That’s how it goes. Once again, those who are wealthy. It’s not the time to make money. It’s a time to give, it’s a time to share. It’s a time to think about others. Think about those in a worse position than you, you know, some of the medications that were announced somewhere here and there, the some of the malaria tablets and whatever people said may work or may not work in some countries, they are charging an arm and a leg for it and it’s something.. in a lot of countries. It’s not even available, in my country I don’t think that we are even ready for the first patient. May Allah make it easy for us and for everyone but at the same time, I do have hope in the mercy of Allah and we’re in it together. Like I said, it’s not about who you know me or whatever… It’s about us as Humanity, every one of you, we care for everyone. Please be safe and I pray that the almighty bless you
A very Powerful Quranic Dua / supplication For Istighfar (the act of seeking forgiveness from Allah) made the prophet Adam (A.S) to get Allah’s mercy to get rid of any type of danger, calamity, problem, etc.
The dua which Allah taught Prophet Adam (A.S) for asking forgiveness is given in the following: رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ Rabbana thalamna anfusana wain lam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakoonanna mina alkhasireena “Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.” Al-Qur’an, 007.023 (Al-Araf [The Heights])
