Three things To Build a special status with Allah | Allah’s response to His Friends | Shaykh Omar Suleiman

Close friends of Allah are very much so scattered amongst the people and you don’t know who they are. In fact, some of the Awliya Allah themselves don’t know that they’re wali of Allah. They don’t quite understand how much Allah loves them and how they could have ascended in those ranks.

Three ways that ulemas mentioned that a person attains that status of wilayah of that special friendship with Allah Subhanahu wa’ta’ala. The one that the prophet (saw) narrated and Hadith in qudsi that whoever takes wali of mine someone that is  beloved to me of mine, that special friend of mine as an enemy, I will wage war on him.

Ambiya & Awliya they’re hidden. Ali (ra) said Allah has hidden two things amongst people; He’s hidden His pleasure in His Good Deed. So you don’t know which of the Good Deeds the one that unlocks His pleasure is. And Allah has hidden his Awliya; special friends amongst the people.

There are three things that allow a person to attain that state. The first one is that you do, you fulfill the obligations  and you do good until you taste the sweetness of that good which is the pleasure of Allah and that becomes your unique driving force and The pleasure of Allah becomes your exclusive driving force in life.

And now you start to do the voluntary Deeds until Allah loves you. Until Allah loves you with that exclusive Special Love.

Second one, Is that the sincerity of your repentance? It’s actually a more sudden one, a person makes a sincere repentance to Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala for Allah subhanaw Taala.

The third one is Allah tests you with a major tragedy. Allah takes away something from you and through that tragedy you do… which is to seek the reward and the reward is Allah’spleasure.

He knows that worldly status is not what conveys, confers status on a person but he had a special status with Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala, so he said well I ask you by your love for me that you would allow rain to come upon all of us. Ibn Abbas (ra) said I was the only one close enough to that man where I could hear his Dua and as soon as he finished making that dua, started to rain upon all of us.

I looked at him and I thought who is this man? Subhanallah simple servant of Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala, he was not a alam, wasn’t a scholar. He wasn’t giving kutbah (sermon). He wasn’t someone that was known he didn’t have any prominence, but he had a status with Allah.

If a person reaches that position, it is special and sometimes again, you don’t know.

Don’t Expose Me! A Story Of Prophet Moses(A.S) And Sinner | Astaghfirullah Wa Atubu Ilaih | Shaykh Omar Suleiman

It was narrated that in the days that Musa (Alahi salaam) wandered with Bani Israel in the desert an intense drought befell them. Together, they raised their hands towards the heavens praying for the blessed rain to come. Then, to the astonishment of Musa (Alahi salaam) and all those watching, the few scattered clouds that were in the sky vanished, the heat poured down, and the drought intensified.

It was revealed to Musa that there was a sinner amongst the tribe of Bani Israel whom had disobeyed Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) for more than forty years of his life. “Let him separate himself from the congregation,” Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) told Musa (Alahi salaam). “Only then shall I shower you all with rain.”

Musa (Alahi salaam) then called out to the throngs of humanity, “There is a person amongst us who has disobeyed Allah for forty years. Let him separate himself from the congregation and only then shall we be rescued from the drought.” That man, waited, looking left and right, hoping that someone else would step forward, but no one did. Sweat poured forth from his brow and he knew that he was the one.

The man knew that if he stayed amongst the congregation all would die of thirst and that if he stepped forward he would be humiliated for all eternity.

He raised his hands with a sincerity he had never known before, with a humility he had never tasted, and as tears poured down on both cheeks he said: “O Allah, have mercy on me! O Allah, hide my sins! O Allah, forgive me!”

As Musa (Alahi salaam) and the people of Bani Israel awaited for the sinner to step forward, the clouds hugged the sky and the rain poured. Musa (Alahi salaam) asked Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala), “O Allah, you blessed us with rain even though the sinner did not come forward.” And Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) replied, “O Musa, it is for the repentance of that very person that I blessed all of Bani Israel with water.”

Musa (Alahi salaam), wanting to know who this blessed man was, asked, “Show him to me O Allah!” Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) replied, “O Musa, I hid his sins for forty years, do you think that after his repentance I shall expose him?”

“Subhanallah, that one moment that person upgraded their status with Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala by turning back to Allah and prioritizing the pleasure of Allah over all of whatever Disobedience He was committing enough to forbid that entire Ummah, Is the Disobedience even mentioned? No because it doesn’t matter. Because, Allah has Mercy is greater than all of disobediences.  As long as you’re now going to recalibrate and seek Allah’s pleasure over all of that and that’s what counts.” –Shaykh Omar Sueliman

Their Pain Was Completely Silent! A True Emotional Story of Father’s Love | Special People | Shaykh Omar Suleiman

Allah tests you with something So severe, so harsh and And you turn to Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala and you seek His pleasure through that. Allah takes something away from you that you thought you could not live without.

Allah says you’ll be tested with your safety, will be tested with your health, you we tested with your family, You’ll be tested with your sustenance, Your.. all of this uncertainty things are going to be… things are going to be all over the place… give Glad Tidings to the patient .

Their pain was completely silent. No one knows what that person’s been through. could run into someone in front of the majid of the prophet (saw), praying next to someone in Masjid al-Haram, you don’t know what that person’s been through and you don’t know why Allah chose them to be there, why Allah chose you to be there or what They’re calling upon Allah with or what their status with Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala is.

You don’t know that person’s status. You don’t know their circumstances and they call upon Allah and invoke Allah subhanaw Taala, and no one knows who’s around them.

You know, who are there this year in hajj: The families of the martyrs of Christchurch, New Zealand and some of the survivors. These are people that put their loved ones in the ground for Allah And Allah called them to hajj This year.

the brother, wasim who Iwas in a coma when we went to ChristChurch because he daughter and when the massacre happened and he was shot nine times, holding his daughter And the last memory he had before he went into a coma was getting to the hospital and his daughter was in Blood and he was in Blood and he said take my daughter Don’t worry about me and then he collapsed and he went into a coma. When he woke up three weeks later, He started shouting for his daughter. And when they told him that your daughter is okay, because Alhumdillah She survived he didn’t believe them, he had to see her. And she turned five in the hospital, right there in a hospital and they were in hajj this year.

If Allah is shy from the hands of a servant who could have disobeyed Him and turn to Him for those few moments. Then what about that person who gave it all for Allah and there are people the prophet (saw) mentioned… a martyr that could be walking and those people were there saying Allahumma and they could have been right next to and you didn’t even know…… Shaykh Omar Suleiman.

A Good Ending! Learn From Celebrity Deaths | Who Are The Wisest Believers ~ Shaykh Omar Suleiman

The prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that be frequent in remembering the destroyer of pleasures “death”. he said sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam and this is a hadith from Ibn Omar (Ra) that  a man came to the prophet (saw), he said which of  that a man came to the prophet (saw), he said which of  who’s the best of the believers? He said the one who has the best character and then he said in which of them is the wisest the prophet (saw) said that the wisest amongst them are those that remember death frequently and are the best at preparing for it.

They put death in front of them and they craft their life accordingly. They don’t get deflated; depressed by it, manage it unhealthily. They used that thought of the janazah and they craft their entire life in accordance with that janazah. How do I want to meet my lord? Everything goes from that.

Remember the most important relationship is your relationship with your Lord and you have to ask yourself which you’ve prepared for your meeting with him.

That’s what made Muhammad Ali so great (rah) the greatest athlete and one of the greatest people that this country knew. He said God doesn’t care if I beat Joe Frazier. God wants to see if what I’m going to do in this life to get to heaven. That’s what God cares about.

So what’s your own legacy? What’s your own book look like? What will you leave for people to pray for you in this life? What will you take with you for Allah and the Angels to pray upon you in the hereafter……….

Don’t say things today that you’re gonna have to apologize for tomorrow.  You know on all the tributes pouring out after the death of Kobe Bryant and people talking about. Death can snatch you  away from people just [a snap] like that  do you really want the last thing to be between you and someone that’s beloved to you and important to you a fight or a feud? Squash those grudges.

Finally the prophet (saw) said, don’t long for what other people possess.

What are we doing with our own priorities? What are we really longing for? What are we aiming for? That’s a lesson for all of us to take.

We ask Allah subhana WA Ta’ala to make the end of our lives the best of them. We ask Allah subhana WA Ta’ala grant us a good ending, a good death.

Six Powerful Tips On How To Guide Those Who You Love ~ Shaykh Omar Suleiman [Very Important]

You can’t guide those who love. When you read the story of Nuh (a.s) and that painful moments with his son, a prophet who called to Allah for 950 years, only had about 80 or so people and a man who loves his wife and who love son so much… the Shahadah of the wife of Nuh (a.s), the testimony of his wife or his son would be so much more beloved to him probably than everybody else, rights? Your family and he doesn’t have that.

At some point you either resign yourself and you say you know what I can’t do anymore. I just can’t help this person anymore. I can only pray for them and sometimes that person will die without you having been able to come to their aid or come to their help or come to their rescue to help them see the error of their ways and to move forward even and it’s not just human beings by the way even Allah subhana WA Ta’ala.

Though Allah always leaves the door of Tawbah open  Allah subhana wa ta’ala talks about a group of people who insist upon the disobedience and no reminder is benefiting you know what? You want this dunya? Take it, go ahead them whatsoever at this point.

You can’t help someone who’s not willing to help themselves we know that but you can still love them even when your efforts have failed. They can’t stop you from making their dua for them. “You’re still in my prayers, I still love you, I still want what’s good for you”.

So the first thing you can’t help someone who’s not willing but you can still love them while your efforts have failed.

Don’t despair in people because if they see you despair in them that might be what causes them to despair in themselves. show people that you believe in them that you’re not giving up on them because they’re gonna hit a low point if they’re making mistakes and eventually when that happens. they’re gonna wonder if they have a chance to come back and you always have to be in their corner even if they’ve pushed you into a corner and say you do have a way back to Allah subhana wa ta’ala and you do have a way to come to come back to that success in that salvation.

If someone is trying to help you or give you Nasia, give you advice. If someone loves you and cares enough about you to make an effort to stop you from doing something that they believe is wrong at a major mistake, don’t do it in a perfect way, overlook those imperfections in the way that they’re trying to help you and instead appreciate the fact that they’re trying to help you.

What Saddened The Prophet(ﷺ) & His Dua On The Day Of Judgment ~ Omar Suleiman

What a shame, what sadness what grief, overwhelms a person like the prophet (saw)  when he sees his own uncles, when he sees people that have loved him his entire life and people that he loved his entire life and he’s not able to get them. Every single person that flees from his hand, sallallahu awaliy salam he wants so bad to help them.

He does not comfort himself sallallahu wasallam by looking at the wins to say the losses no longer matter but he rededicates himself to the possibility of converting those losses to wins of bringing them too. so the joy of the prophet (saw) when he sees these large groups of people was not that he could be complacent now but that it gave him hope that he could continue and that more people would come InshaAllah Ta’ala on that more people would follow, right and so in many ways.

You see an example from the messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam of that same empathy that he had where he could not turn his face away from a child that was in poverty, that same empathy being reflected in everything else that he had. That’s part of Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin. That’s part of him being a mercy to the world and that’s why on the day of judgement when the prophet sallallaahu alayhi wasalam has the one dua.

The Last Follower Of Jesus In Mecca Confirmed The Prophethood First [TheFamous Incident]~Omar Suleiman

Waraqa Ibn Nawfal (Ra) looked at as the knowledgeable man, the one who understands scriptures. He’s the nobleman of the family. His interaction with khadiza (ra) and propthet (Saw) really predates, the incidents that we all know of, at that point Ayesa (Ra), she says in the hadith in which she mentions or where she gives some context about whom waraqa (ra) was. She says he was a man who became a Christian in the days of ignorant.

So he used to write from the Gospels in Hebrew and he would write as long as a Allah (Swt) allowed him to write. So she says and then he became an old man and helost his sight so Waraqa (Ra) became blind towards the end of his life.

When the prophet (saw) had come to him at that point he was already blind, he was in his 90s and he was already blind, okay. And this is where we have the famous incident that takes place, right .where Khadijah (ra) would take the prophet (saw) Waraqa (ra) to contextualize what had happened in hera, it was common for the people to go to Hera Cave and Khadijah (ra) has a particular relationship, the prophet (saw)has a particular relationship. and he understands especially understands what it… is what it is that would denote prophethood or denote something that is special.

Tell me what you have seen, so at that point the prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam tells him everything that he saw in the cave of Hera.

So this is Namus that Allah has sent to musa (a.s) the word Namus means the one who bears secrets and he’s referring to gibreel alehissalaam that this is gibreel alayhis-salam the same angel that Allah sent to Moosa (A.s). He actually confirms to the prophet (Saw). You are the prophet of this people.. Like i knew it was coming. You are the nabi.

Waraqa (ra) can see he knows the way that this has gone down for all of the prophets that came before including the one whom he follows Issa (a.s), jesus peace be upon he knows how this goes.

literally the last mention of Iesa (A.s) on Islam and the Quran is very beautiful. Iesa (A.s) is telling his people about the coming of the Prophet (saw).

How beautiful is it that the first person to confirm the prophethood of the prophet (ﷺ) is the last follower of Isea (A.s) in Mecca subhanAllah. The first person to tell him you are a prophet. You’re the one is following the Bushra of Issa (A.s); the glad tidings of Jesus peace be upon him and handing that off to the prophet (ﷺ).- Shaykh Omar Suleiman

Powerful Duas Between Sons & Mothers Will Bring Tears To Your Eyes ~ Shaykh Omar Suleiman

What does it mean to actually get the dua of your mother? When your mom or your parents will actually say oh Allah and they’ll have something that is favorable to you implied in that dua.

Allah has ordered excellence to both of your parents and then specifying the mother that she carried you in pain, she gave birth to you in pain, she fed you in pain, she nurtured you in pain, and she went through all of that for you. She deserves that honor .

oh my lord honor him and have mercy on him the way  that he has dignified me and obeyed me in my old age – Mother of abu hurairah (ra)

That singled dua is so precious I there is no limit to that dua, no limit to that supplication of appearance.

The dua of a mother could even get you the companionship of a prophet. And more than all of that, it could bring barakah in your life and acceptance in the hereafter in ways that nothing else can.

That blessing is induced through natural service, do things that will naturally induce a good dua,

if your parents are not alive then just as when they are alive you are to honor them with that goodness then honor them with good deeds in their name that sadaqah jariyah and those deeds will reach them and on the day of judgment they will be holding those good deeds that you did on their behalf and testifying in front of Allah (swt) for you.

If the dua of a mother can bring that much baraka on a person’s life, you better want your spouse to get that dua from their mother. husband and wife part of your making your spouse a more complete Muslim and getting that dua, and getting that baraka in life that potential … pleasure in the hereafter is when they get those duas from their parents. don’t see your mother-in-law as an opponent in that sense of Kadima because it may be the kidma that your husband or wife gives to their mother that brings that Baraka in your married life and in your life in general and your acceptance in the hereafter, don’t see them as opponents, help your spouse honor their parents.

Do You Stink Or Smell Good? Amazing Advice From Imam Shafi (Rah) – Shaykh Omar Suleiman

Imam Shafi (Rah) said that i wish that my knowledge would be spread. I wish that everyone would benefit from my knowledge no one would say my name. That’s why Allah (swt) made him the person that he was and elevated him to the place that he was because his interest wasn’t spreading that goodness, not in being named the source of that.

When the environment around you gets tough and when people are aggressive with you and abusive of you because usually you stink because other people stink with you when the world stinks you’re more likely to stink too, right? He said (ra) that the foolish one addresses me with words of disgrace but I hate to respond to him in like manner, the more ignorant he proves the more patience I become just like the incense, the more you burn it the more its fragrance is released, subhanAllah.

There’s a saying that you can be much more influential if people are not aware of your influence. Just Like with the mother whose child misses her when she goes away. Oftentimes the good influence is not recognized until that’s that sweet smell, the source of that sweet smell is no longer there.

Do you stink or do you smell good? Do you rub off good on people or do people rub off evil on you?

How A Small Deed Makes A Mountain In The Sight Of Allah (Swt) – Sheikh Omar Suleiman

⚡️How A Small Good Connecting Back To The Highest Branch Of Faith ‘La Ilaha Illallah’‼️
===================================================

Your life looks like through the concept of purpose knowing why you are here and in the process the how and the what becomes easy!!

when the prophet (saw) talks about the branches of Iman, the branches of faith and he (saw) says that Iman has 70 something branches and he said (saw) that the highest of them is la ilaha illallah then all the rest of them come out, that first branch of there is no god but Allah, there is no creator but Allah. There is no sustainer but Allah there is no one worth living for but Allah. There is no one worth unconditional obedience except Allah and he (saw) said the lowest one is that you remove something harmful from the road. So the prophet (saw) is connecting that faith to a very small thing that you would do in your life to remove something harmful from the road. Most people would not connect that to that La Ilaha Ilallah.

The prophet (saw) then says that there was a man that he saw strolling in Jannah because the only thing that he did was he saw something harmful in the road and he picked it up and he removed it. So that the path could be Ease for people and Allah (swt) eased the path of Jannah for him. It is not just that this person was walking on the side of the road or what and saw something harmful and removed it, it’s that that person connected it back to Allah subhana WA Ta’ala, he was intentional about what he was doing. He was purposeful about what he was doing. He made a mental and emotional, a spiritual connection to that act and that’s something special. That what takes a small deed and makes it a mountain in the sight of Allah subhana wa ta’ala because it’s not the size of the good deed that makes it accepted to Allah subhana wa ta’ala. It’s the heart that’s performing the good deed and making that connection to Allah (swt).

You have purpose; you do not belittle any of your good deeds because you realize that the one you’re doing those good deeds for is Allah. You’re connecting it to the creator.

Think about small good habits, a small good deed that is between you and Allah that people don’t expect of you but through it you seek Allah’s mercy and you make particularly a connection between that small good deed and your smallness in this world, your own vulnerability in this world and keep it up on a daily basis, as you don’t know which one of those that Allah (swt) is going to accept. Purpose is what takes the deeds that we do on a daily basis that are neutral in their nature and connect them to the Creator and that which is around us and enters us into Jannah- Sheikh Omar Suleiman
