#MuftiMenk mentions a powerful beautiful #dua (#supplication) which was taught by our beloved prophet Muhammed sallallahu alaihi wasallam to purify our #soul / #Heart for the pleasure of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and to stay on the right path of the #deen
“Allahumma ya Muqallib al Quloob thabbit qalbi ‘alaa Deenik,” اللهم يا مقلب القلوب ثبت قلبى على دينك (Sahih Muslim)
Also there is another beautiful dua in Sahih Muslim … Narrated ‘Abdullah b. Amr b. al-‘As reported that he heard Allah’s Messenger ﷺ as saying: Verily, the hearts of all the sons of Adam are between the two fingers out of the fingers of the Compassionate Lord as one heart. He turns that to any (direction) He likes. Then Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said: 0 Allah, the Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to Thine obedience.
#MuftiMenk mentions we need to make a #dua that Allah grant us spouses and children who will be the #coolness of our eyes.we need to make the following dua on a constant basis. The reason is if you are not married, Allah will grant you a #spouse who will be the coolness of your eyes together with #righteousness and if you are married Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala can help improve your condition as well as the condition of your spouse through the same dua and #supplication. The dua is in the following:
#MuftiMenk mentions that a day will definitely come when all of us have to depart from this world and if we look at the life of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we will come to learn that putting into practice what he did is the most beneficial thing for us one of the things he used to do on a daily basis was seeking the forgiveness of allah (swt). You and I know he had no sins but he still asked Allah (swt)’s forgiveness seeking of forgiveness would actually nullify or should I say delete cancel the sins that we have committed and they are plenty when you do good deeds for the sake of Allah they automatically delete the minor sins that you may have been committing as Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’ala tells us…..
Mufti Menk Quotes in this lecture, “I will feel the care within my heart for everyone and the love and the concern to help them to correct them to guide them if they’re doing wrong or to learn from them where I am faltering; but I’m filled with love, I’m filled with kindness; I’m not filled with hate and an ill feeling, I’m not filled with that which is negative but rather that which is absolutely positive for the sake of Allah. Life is too short and our duties are many so to love obeying Allah, to love goodness for others, to love for others what you would love for yourself. All these are part and parcel of the purification of this beautiful heart”.
This is a very important lecture given by #MuftiMenk on How Allah Fulfil Our Needs by calling Out To Allah as we are in desperate need of Allah. Mufti Menk highlights different aspects of #dua (#supplication or #invocation or #prayer) like how, when, what the prerequisite conditions are, mistake while making duas, what types of duas should be done, etc by mentioning accepted duas by the prophets (may Allah be peace with them) of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.
Mufti Menk quotes in this lecture “Dua is the core and the essence of worship from Hadith. Because when you are making dua to Allah then you are asking Allah for something acknowledging He has, ya Allah give me sustenance, sustain me, grant me barakah in my sustenance by saying that you are automatically worshiping Allah by acknowledging He controls Baraka (blessings) and He controls your sustenance and mine”

“Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.”

Mufti Menk Quotes in this lecture “Allah knows what’s in the hearts but He wants your tongue to bear witness; He wants you to try, He wants you to say something, he wants you to engage in an act of worship known as the utterance, the saying so that is why it’s important to also try your best to say…”

Translation
Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest. How far from imperfections He is, The One Who has placed this (transport) at our service, and we ourselves would not have been capable of doing so, and to our Lord is our final destination,
O Allah, we ask You for piety (Birr), and fear of You (Taqwa) in this journey of ours, and we ask You for deeds which please You,
O Allah, facilitate our journey and let us cover it’s distance quickly. O Allah, You are The Companion on the journey and The Successor over the family,
O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the difficulties of travel, and from having a change of hearts and being in a bad predicament, and I take refuge with You from an ill fated outcome with wealth and family.
We return, repent, worship and praise our Lord.
