So whoever follows me - then he is of me; and whoever disobeys me - indeed, You are [yet] Forgiving and Merciful. رَّبَّنَا إِنِّي أَسْكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِندَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِّنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُم مِّنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ Rabbana innee askantu min thurriyyateebiwadin ghayri thee zarAAin AAinda baytika almuharramirabbana liyuqeemoo assalata fajAAalaf-idatan mina annasi tahwee ilayhim warzuqhummina aththamarati laAAallahum yashkuroon Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful.

Our Lord, and accept my supplication. رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ Rabbana ighfir lee waliwalidayyawalilmu/mineena yawma yaqoomu alhisab Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established." ***Dua at the age of 40, قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِى فِى ذُرِّيَّتِىٓ ۖ إِنِّى تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّى مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ qaala Rabbi aqzi'neee an ashkura ni'matakal lateee an'amta 'alaiya wa 'alaa waalidaiya wa an a'mala saalihan tardaahu wa aslih lee fee zurriyyatee innee tubtu ilaika wa innee minal muslimeen (46:15) he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims." ***Dua for protection from evil people رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ - 26:83 Rabbi hab lee hukmanw wa alhiqnee bis saaliheen [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous. وَاجْعَل لِّي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ - 26:84 Waj'al lee lisaana sidqin fil aakhireen And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.

The Duas are given the following: *Dua for guidance, knowledge and authority by prophet Ibrahim (A.S) رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ - 26:83 Rabbi habli hukman wa alhiqni bis-swaliheen [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous **dua for being remembered afterwards by the people وَاجْعَل لِّي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ - 26:84 Waj'al lee lisaana sidqin fil aakhireen And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations. *** Dua for Paradise وَاجْعَلْنِي مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ - 26:85 Waj'alnee minw warasati Jannnatin Na'eem And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure. **** Dua for protection from corrupt people by Prophet Lut (A.S) رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ - 26:169 Rabbi najjinee wa-ahlee mimmaa ya’maloon My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." ***** Dua to get Justice in all your affairs by Prophet Shoaib Alaihissalaam (A.S) عَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْفَـٰتِحِينَ(Surah Al-‘A`rāf, verse 89) Alal-lahi tawakkalna Rabbanaa iftah baynanaa wabayna qawminaa bil-haqqi wa-anta khayrul faatiheen “Upon Allah we have relied.Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of those who decide.” ****** Dua against the fitnah or falsely charged something or a false by Prophet Yusuf / Joseph (A.S) قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ ۖ وَإِلَّا تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُن مِّنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ - 12:33 Qaala rabbis sijnu ahabbu ilaiya mimma yad'oo naneee 'ilaihi wa illaa tasrif 'annee kaidahunna asbu ilaihinna wa akum minal jaahileen He said, "My Lord, prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me. And if You do not avert from me their plan, I might incline toward them and [thus] be of the ignorant."

The Duas / Supplications are given the following: * The dua to die in the condition as a muslim and gain clossenss to Allah (swt) by Yusuf (A.S) رَبِّ قَدْ آتَيْتَنِي مِنَ الْمُلْكِ وَعَلَّمْتَنِي مِن تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ ۚ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَنتَ وَلِيِّي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۖ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ - 12:101 Rabbi qad aataitanee minal mulki wa 'allamtanee min taaweelil ahaadees; faati ras samaawaati wal ardi Anta waliyyee fid dunyaa wal Aakhirati tawaffanee muslimanw wa alhiqnee bissaaliheen My Lord, You have given me [something] of sovereignty and taught me of the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous." ** The lesson from Prophet Ayub /Job (A.s) إِنَّا وَجَدْنَٰهُ صَابِرًا ۚ نِّعْمَ ٱلْعَبْدُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ innaa wajadnaahu saabiraa; ni'mal 'abd; innahooo awwaab وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ - 38:41 Wazkur 'abdanaaa Ayyoob; iz naada Rabbahooo annee massaniyash Shaitaanu binus binw wa 'azaab And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." *** Dua For solving all problems أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ annee massaniyad durru wa Anta arhamur raahimeen 21:83 "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful."
In the episode Number 11 of “Supplications From Revelation” (SFR) #Ramadan2018 series #MuftiMenk makes mention of very powerful and important duas of Prophet Moses / Musa (A.S) and the prophet Muhammed (saw) for asking goodness for this world and the next. These Duas / Supplications are given in the followings:
*Dua for curing stuttering, confidence, make the affair easy, eloquence by the Prophet Musa (A.S)
“رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي. وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي. وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي . يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي”
“Rabbish rahli sadri, wa yassirli amri, wah lul uqdatan min lisaani, yaf kahu kauli”
“My Lord, put my heart at peace for me and make my task easy for me and remove the knot from my tongue, that they may understand my speech. [20:25,26,27,28]
**Dua protection from tyrant
إِنِّى عُذْتُ بِرَبِّى وَرَبِّكُم مِّن كُلِّ مُتَكَبِّرٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْحِسَابِ
innee ‘uztu bi Rabbee wa Rabbikum min kulli mutakabbiril laayu’minu bi Yawmil Hisaab (40:27)
“Indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Account.”
***For the seeking of Fogiveness
أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَا ۖ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْغَٰفِرِينَ
Anta waliyyunaa faghfir lanaa warhammnnaa wa Anta khairul ghaafireen
You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy upon us; and You are the best of forgivers. (7:155)
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِأَخِي وَأَدْخِلْنَا فِي رَحْمَتِكَ ۖ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ – 7:151
Rabbighfirlee wa li akhee wa adkhilnaa fee rahmatika wa Anta arhamur raahimeen
“My Lord, forgive me and my brother and admit us into Your mercy, for You are the most merciful of the merciful.”
****Dua For goodness in this world and the next by The Prophet Musa (A’S) and The Prophet Muhammed (Saw)
وَٱكْتُبْ لَنَا فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ إِنَّا هُدْنَآ إِلَيْكَ
Waktub lanaa fee haazi hid dunyaa hasanatanw wa fil Aakhirati| innnaa hudnaaa ilaik (7:156)
And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ {2:201}
rabbanaaa aatina fid dunyaa hasanatawn wa fil aakhirati hasanatanw wa qinaa azaaban Naar.
Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire.
In the episode Number 12 of “Supplications From Revelation” (SFR) #Ramadan2018 series #MuftiMenk makes mention of wonderful duas of Prophet Solomon / Suleiman (A.S) for granting wealth which for the good cause with staying humble and prophet Zachariah (as) for granting a pious child. These Duas / Supplications are given in the followings:
*Dua for sustenance etc wealth by Prophet solomon /Suleiman alayhi salatu wassalam
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَهَبْ لِي مُلْكًا لَّا يَنبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ مِّن بَعْدِي ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ – 38:35
rabbi ighfir lee wahab lee mulkan la yanbaghee li-ahadin min baAAdee innaka anta alwahhab
“O my Lord! Forgive me and grant me a kingdom, not (will) belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You [You] (are) the Bestower.”
**Dua for protection from agrrogance, anger, etc
رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ
rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee anAAamta AAalayya waAAala walidayya waan aAAmala salihan tardahu waadkhilnee birahmatika fee AAibadika alssaliheena
“My Lord! Grant me (the) power that I may thank You (for) Your Favor which You have bestowed on me and on my parents and that I may do righteous (deeds), that will please You. And admit me by Your Mercy among Your slaves righteous.”
***Dua for granting a pious child by the prophet Zachariah (as)
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ – 3:38
Rabbi hab li min ladunka dhurriyyatan tayyibatan innaka samee’ al-du’aa
“My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ الْعَظْمُ مِنِّي وَاشْتَعَلَ الرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُن بِدُعَائِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا – 19:4
Qaala Rabbi innee wahanal’azmu minnee washta’alar raasu shaibanw wa lam akum bidu’aaa’ika Rabbi shaqiyyaa
He said, “My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with white, and never have I been in my supplication to You, my Lord, unhappy
رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ – 21:89
Rabbi laa tazarnee fardanw wa Anta khairul waariseen
“My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors.”
In the episode Number 13 of “Supplications From Revelation” (SFR) #Ramadan2018 series #MuftiMenk makes mention of dua of prophet Jesus / Isa (A.S) and the some powerful duas which Allah taught the prophet Muhammed (SAW). The duas / supplications are given in the following:
*Dua for people for forgivenss from Allah (swt) by prophet Jesus / Isa (a.s)
إِن تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ ۖ وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ – 5:118
In tuaazzibhum fa innahum ibeaduka, va in taagfir lahum fa innaka antal aazeezul haakeem(haakeemu)
If You should punish them – indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them – indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
**Dua for increase in knowledge by the prophet Muhammad (saw)
اللَّهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي وَ عَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي وَ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
Allahumma-infa’nī bimā ‘alamtanī wa ‘allimnī mā yanfa’unī wa zidnī ‘ilmā
O Allah, benefit me from that which You taught me, and teach me that which will benefit me, and increase me in knowledge.
***Dua for Piety and to stay protected from the wrongdoers
رَّبِّ إِمَّا تُرِيَنِّي مَا يُوعَدُونَ – 23:93
رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي فِي الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ – 23:94
Rabbi immmaa turiyannee maa yoo’adoon
Rabbi falaa taj’alnee fil qawmiz zaalimeen
“My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised,
My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people.”
****Dua for doing good deeds
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الخَيْرَاتِ، وَتَرْكَ المُنْكَرَاتِ، وَحُبَّ المَسَاكِينِ، وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي وَتَرْحَمَنِي، وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ فِتْنَةً فِي قَوْمٍ فَتَوَفَّنِي غَيْرَ مَفْتُونٍ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ، وَحُبَّ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُ إِلَى حُبِّكَ
alllahumm ‘inni ‘as’aluk fiel alkhayrati, watark almunkarati, wahubb almasakini, wa’an taghfir li watarhamani, wa’iidha ‘aradt fitnatan fi qawm fatawaffani ghayr maftunin, wa’as’aluk hubbak wahubb man yuhibbuka, wahubb eamal yuqarrib ‘iilaa hubbik
O Allah! I ask You to give me the ability to do good deeds and to leave bad deeds, love for the poor and that You forgive me and have mercy on me, and when you are to afflict a nation with a trial (Fitnah), then take me back (to You) without being afflicted with this trial. I ask You for Your love, the love of those who love You and love for actions which will draw me closer to Your love
***** protection from the devil
رَبِّ أَعوذُ بِكَ مِن هَمَزٰتِ الشَّيٰطينِ ﴿٩٧﴾ وَأَعوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحضُرونِ
Rabbi aaoozubika min hamazaatish shayaateeni wa aAAoozubika rabbi an yahzuroon
Surah Al-Mu’minun ,verse 97,98
The Three “Qul”s and Ayatul-Kursi
The ‘Three Quls’ are the last three chapters (Surahs) in the Qur’an. They are commonly known as:
“Qul huwa Allāhu Aḥad” (Sūrah Al-Ikhlāṣ)
“Qul A’ūdhu birabbi al-falaq” (Sūrah Al-Falaq)
“Qul A’ūdhu birabbi al-nās” (Sūrah Al-Nās)

*Dua for the peace, the calmness and the tranquillity
حَسْبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ ٱلْوَكِيلُ
hasbunal laahu wa ni’malwakeel (3:173)
“Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.”
حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ ۖ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ – 9:129
hasbiyal laahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa ‘alaihi tawakkkaltu wa Huwa Rabbul ‘Arshil ‘Azeem
Sufficient for me is Allah ; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.”
**Dua for Allah’s Forgiveness, Mercey, patience and victory
رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ – 23:118
Rabbigh fir warham wa Anta khairur raahimeen
My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful.”
فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًا – 110:3
Fa sab bih bihamdi rabbika was taghfir, innahu kaana tawwaaba
Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.
سُبْحَانَ اللهُ وَبِحَمْدِهِ، أَسْتَغْفِرُالله وَأَتُوْبُ إِلَيْهِ” (متفق عليه
Subhanallah wa bihamdih. Astaghfirullah, wa atubu ilaih
the glory be to Allah and all praise is due to Allah I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I repent to him
رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ – 2:250
Rabbanaaa afrigh ‘alainaa sabranw wa sabbit aqdaamanaa wansurnaa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen
“Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.”
رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَآ إِن نَّسِينَآ أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَآ إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِۦ ۖ وَٱعْفُ عَنَّا وَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَآ ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَىٰنَا فَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Rabbanaa la tu’aakhiznaa in naseenaaa aw akhtaanaa; Rabbanaa wa laa tahmil-‘alainaaa isran kamaa hamaltahoo ‘alal-lazeena min qablinaa; Rabbanaa wa laa tuhammilnaa maa laa taaqata lanaa bih wa’fu ‘annaa waghfir lanaa warhamnaa; Anta mawlaanaa fansurnaa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen (2:286)
“Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.”

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ – 3:8
Rabbanaa laa tuzigh quloobanaa ba’da iz hadaitanaa wa hab lanaa mil ladunka rahmah; innaka antal Wahhaab
****Dua for the protection from hell fire and pleasing Allah (swt)
رَبَّنا إِنَّنا ءامَنّا فَاغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَقِنا عَذابَ النّارِ
rabbana innana amanna faighfir lana thunoobana waqina AAathaba alnnaar
”Our Lord! surely we believe, therefore forgive us our faults and save us from the chastisement of the fire” (Chapter 3, Verse 16)
رَبَّنا ءامَنّا بِما أَنزَلتَ وَاتَّبَعنَا الرَّسولَ فَاكتُبنا مَعَ الشّٰهِدينَ
Rabbana amanna bima anzalta waittabaAAna alrrasoola faoktubna maAAa alshshahideen
‘Our Lord! we believe in what Thou hast revealed and we follow the apostle, so write us down with those who bear witness” ( Chapter 3, Verse 53)
