In the episode Number 4 of “Supplications From Revelation” (SFR) #Ramadan2018 series #MuftiMenk makes mention of dua of the prophet Noah / Nuh (A.S) for thanking Allah (swt) as his dua was responded and a dua / supplication which prophet Muhammmed (saw) used to make for a journey. These duas are given in the following:
Dua for thanking Allah by Prophet Noah / Nuh (as) being saved from oppression
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى نَجَّىٰنَا مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
alhamdu lillahi allathee najjana mina alqawmi alththalimeena
Praise (be) to Allah, Who (has) saved us from the people – the wrongdoers.”
(23:28)
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَنزِلْنِى مُنزَلًا مُّبَارَكًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْمُنزِلِينَ
Wa qur Rabbi anzilnee munzalam mubaarakanw wa Anta khairul munzileen
And say: “O my Lord! enable me to disembark with thy blessing: for Thou art the Best to enable (us) to disembark.”
Dua for Dua when undertaking a journey
اللهُ أَكْبَرُ ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ ، سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ ، وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ ،
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هَذَا الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى ، وَمِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تَرْضَى ،
اللَّهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا سَفَرَنَا هَذَا وَاطْوِ عَنَّا بُعْدَهُ ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ ، وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الأَهْلِ ،
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ ، وَكَآبَةِ الْمَنْظَرِ ، وَسُوءِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ فِي الْمَالِ وَالأَهْلِ
آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ
Translation
Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest. How far from imperfections He is, The One Who has placed this (transport) at our service, and we ourselves would not have been capable of doing so, and to our Lord is our final destination,
O Allah, we ask You for piety (Birr), and fear of You (Taqwa) in this journey of ours, and we ask You for deeds which please You,
O Allah, facilitate our journey and let us cover it’s distance quickly. O Allah, You are The Companion on the journey and The Successor over the family,
O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the difficulties of travel, and from having a change of hearts and being in a bad predicament, and I take refuge with You from an ill fated outcome with wealth and family.
We return, repent, worship and praise our Lord.
Transliteration
allaahu akbar, allaahu akbar, allaahu akbar, subḥaan-alladhee sakhkhara lanaa haadhaa wa maa kunnaa lahu muqrineen, wa innaa ilaa rabbinaa la munqaliboon
allaahumma innaa nas’aluka fee safarinaa haadhal-birra wat-taqwaa, wa minal-‛amali maa tarḍaaa,
allaahumma hawwin ‛alaynaa safaranaa haadhaa waṭwi ‛annaa bu‛dahu,
allaahumma antaṣ-ṣaaḥibu fis-safar, wal-khaleefatu fil-ahl,
allaahumma innee a‛oodhu bika min wa‛thaa’-is-safar, wa ka’aabat-il-manẓari, wa soo’-il-munqalabi fil-maali wal-ahl
aayiboona taa’iboona ‛aabidoona li rabbinaa ḥaamidoon
Dua while boarding a ship or a plane.
This is the dua of Prophet Nuh (Peace be upon him)
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ مَجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
bismi Allahi majraha wamursaha inna rabbee laghafoorun raheem
in the name of Allah is its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful.”
SURAH HUD, VERSE 41
In this short reminders from #Mufti Menk quotes that everyone lives together, you have to have a big heart, you have to be very very accommodating and you have to understand your view is only but an opinion that’s all it’s not to be dictated upon; you make others who live with you happy and you shall be very happy. So whoever follows me - then he is of me; and whoever disobeys me - indeed, You are [yet] Forgiving and Merciful. رَّبَّنَا إِنِّي أَسْكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِندَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِّنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُم مِّنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ Rabbana innee askantu min thurriyyateebiwadin ghayri thee zarAAin AAinda baytika almuharramirabbana liyuqeemoo assalata fajAAalaf-idatan mina annasi tahwee ilayhim warzuqhummina aththamarati laAAallahum yashkuroon Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful.

In the episode Number 7 of “Supplications From Revelation” (SFR) #Ramadan2018 series #MuftiMenk makes mention of duas / Supplications by the prophet Abraham / Ibrahim (A.S) for having righteous son, thanking dua for having blessed with offspring, reaching age of forty, and protection from evil people. The duas / supplications are given in th followings: ***Duaas for one's family & righteous Children رَبِّ هَب لى مِنَ الصّٰلِحينَ Rabbi hab lee mina alssaliheena (Qur’aan: 37:100) '' My Lord ! grant me (offspring) from the righteous '' ***Dua for thanking Allah After having blessed with offspring ( surah Ibrahim, 39-41) الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي وَهَبَ لِي عَلَى الْكِبَرِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي لَسَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ Praise to Allah, who has granted to me in old age Ishmael and Isaac. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication. Alhamdu lillahi allatheewahaba lee AAala alkibari ismaAAeela wa-ishaqainna rabbee lasameeAAu adduAAa/- رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ Rabbi ijAAalnee muqeema assalatiwamin thurriyyatee rabbana wtaqabbal duAAa/- My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ Rabbana ighfir lee waliwalidayyawalilmu/mineena yawma yaqoomu alhisab Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established." ***Dua at the age of 40, قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِى فِى ذُرِّيَّتِىٓ ۖ إِنِّى تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّى مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ qaala Rabbi aqzi'neee an ashkura ni'matakal lateee an'amta 'alaiya wa 'alaa waalidaiya wa an a'mala saalihan tardaahu wa aslih lee fee zurriyyatee innee tubtu ilaika wa innee minal muslimeen (46:15) he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims." ***Dua for protection from evil people رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ - 26:83 Rabbi hab lee hukmanw wa alhiqnee bis saaliheen [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous. وَاجْعَل لِّي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ - 26:84 Waj'al lee lisaana sidqin fil aakhireen And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.
In the episode Number 8 of “Supplications From Revelation” (SFR) #Ramadan2018 series #MuftiMenk makes mention of amazing duas / Supplications by the prophet Abraham / Ibrahim (A.S) , Prophet Lut (A.S), Prophet Shoaib Alaihissalaam (A.S) and Prophet Yusuf / Joseph (A.S). The Duas are given the following: *Dua for guidance, knowledge and authority by prophet Ibrahim (A.S) رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ - 26:83 Rabbi habli hukman wa alhiqni bis-swaliheen [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous **dua for being remembered afterwards by the people وَاجْعَل لِّي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ - 26:84 Waj'al lee lisaana sidqin fil aakhireen And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations. *** Dua for Paradise وَاجْعَلْنِي مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ - 26:85 Waj'alnee minw warasati Jannnatin Na'eem And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure. **** Dua for protection from corrupt people by Prophet Lut (A.S) رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ - 26:169 Rabbi najjinee wa-ahlee mimmaa ya’maloon My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." ***** Dua to get Justice in all your affairs by Prophet Shoaib Alaihissalaam (A.S) عَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْفَـٰتِحِينَ(Surah Al-‘A`rāf, verse 89) Alal-lahi tawakkalna Rabbanaa iftah baynanaa wabayna qawminaa bil-haqqi wa-anta khayrul faatiheen “Upon Allah we have relied.Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of those who decide.” ****** Dua against the fitnah or falsely charged something or a false by Prophet Yusuf / Joseph (A.S) قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ ۖ وَإِلَّا تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُن مِّنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ - 12:33 Qaala rabbis sijnu ahabbu ilaiya mimma yad'oo naneee 'ilaihi wa illaa tasrif 'annee kaidahunna asbu ilaihinna wa akum minal jaahileen He said, "My Lord, prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me. And if You do not avert from me their plan, I might incline toward them and [thus] be of the ignorant."
In the episode Number 9 of “Supplications From Revelation” (SFR) #Ramadan2018 series #MuftiMenk makes mention of Dua of Prophet Yusuf / Joseph (A.S) for gaining closeness of Allah and die in a condition and lessons & dua for Allah’s mercy from the Prophet Ayub/ Job (A.S) . The Duas / Supplications are given the following: * The dua to die in the condition as a muslim and gain clossenss to Allah (swt) by Yusuf (A.S) رَبِّ قَدْ آتَيْتَنِي مِنَ الْمُلْكِ وَعَلَّمْتَنِي مِن تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ ۚ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَنتَ وَلِيِّي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ۖ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ - 12:101 Rabbi qad aataitanee minal mulki wa 'allamtanee min taaweelil ahaadees; faati ras samaawaati wal ardi Anta waliyyee fid dunyaa wal Aakhirati tawaffanee muslimanw wa alhiqnee bissaaliheen My Lord, You have given me [something] of sovereignty and taught me of the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous." ** The lesson from Prophet Ayub /Job (A.s) إِنَّا وَجَدْنَٰهُ صَابِرًا ۚ نِّعْمَ ٱلْعَبْدُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ innaa wajadnaahu saabiraa; ni'mal 'abd; innahooo awwaab وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ - 38:41 Wazkur 'abdanaaa Ayyoob; iz naada Rabbahooo annee massaniyash Shaitaanu binus binw wa 'azaab And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." *** Dua For solving all problems أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ annee massaniyad durru wa Anta arhamur raahimeen 21:83 "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful."
