When & How To Ask Allah’s Guidance (Istikhara) To Make A Decision | Mufti Menk

#MuftiMenk highlights when, how, who and for what we need to do istikhara in light of Quran and hadith in this lecture with English subtitle. In life, we need to make some big decisions; sometimes we’ve all had decisions whereby we don’t really know exactly which way to go whether it’s #marriage– sometimes we don’t know if it’s going to be successful sometimes it’s a decision of a huge business sometimes shifting from one area or city to another, etc. Two main things one is known as consultation and two is Istikharah. Istikhara is a type of consultation but it means to seek guidance regarding the better of two issues to seek from Allah (swt) ‘s guidance as to which of these two things is better. That’s the meaning of #istikhara to ask Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala’s guidance where we are confused and we are trying to say o Allah guide us towards one of the two.

“if we have the consciousness of Allah in us Allah will guide us regarding all our affairs to what is best for us not necessarily to what is most successful in terms of business or our social life but it will be best for us.”- Mufti Menk

What The Beautiful Benefits Of Istighfar !!! Mufti Menk

#MuftiMenk highlights the beautiful benefits of #Istighfar (the act of seeking forgiveness from Allah) in this lecture. He says that Allah Subhanahu WA Ta’ala has kept certain duties on our shoulders that we need to fulfil these. One thing that is of extreme importance that He has found very beneficial in his own life and obviously derived straight from the Sunnah of Rasulullah (saw) that is to ask Allah’s forgiveness genuinely every single day. Do not let a day pass without asking Allah’s #forgiveness.

Mufti Menk urges not to reduce istighfar to a mere service by the mouth. It should be genuine. We should feel it in our heart – oh Allah forgive me. “Seeking forgiveness is such a great act of worship and even if you have not done anything wrong just by mere virtue of asking Allah’s forgiveness your status is being elevated; it’s being elevated you get closer to Allah (swt).”- Mufti Menk

Who Is prophet Muhammed (SAW) I Mufti Menk

#MuftiMenk enlightens some key points in the short talk regarding the Prophet Muhammed (saw). Allah has indeed favoured the believers by sending or when He sent a messenger from amongst them to them. SubhanAllah, it was a great favour teaching them goodness, teaching them the wisdom and purifying them. The purity came in the form of purity of worship; purity of social behaviour so much Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam brought; the great messenger- the final of all messengers of Allah (swt).

“Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam, the man of peace he brought about #peace & #goodness. He is the one who taught us to be at peace with the entire environment. It’s wrong for me to break a tree; It’s wrong for me to burn the grass and without a reason; it’s wrong for me to cut down and chop a #tree and in fact it is so blessed for me to plant a tree that would perhaps provide shade and fruit to any human being even to an animal this is Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam.” – Mufti Menk

Treat Women with Utmost Respect By Following Sunnah | Mufti Menk

In the lecture #MuftiMenk addresses that our beloved prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam has the greatest level of #character and #conduct and his behaviour is not just exemplary but it is absolutely perfect with Englsihs subtitle. In the light of that, Mufti Menk adds respect of a #woman to fulfil her rights, to honour her is not based on our whims and fancies it’s based on what Allah and His Messenger have declared belongs to her.

“Am I upon the sunnah of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam when it comes to addressing women? Do I think before I speak to them that I am about to utter words; these words are they harmful hurtful or are they the best of words? Allah has given us a tongue and He has given us a brain. We need to use the brain before we use the tongue.”- Mufti Menk

Tips For Fulfilling Five Salah A Day With Smiling On Time | Mufti Menk

#MuftiMenk addresses that if the #Salah (#prayer) is in order everything else will be easy. If the Salah is not in order the rest of it what do you expect? It’s going to be difficult and tough. He says that one will achieve the greatest joy when he/ she fulfils that Salah when it is difficult for him in this lecture.

Mufti Menk adds five times a day we are called in a certain direction and the caller reminds us because it is that prescription from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala for the caller to call out five times a day even though we know our duty towards allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala. He mentions some tips how to fulfil salah on time with smiling and contentment.

“Come to success- every one of us male and female; young and old we are looking for success. There is no success beyond that which Allah has promised us. We can never be truly successful if we have disconnected from our five daily prayers.” – Mufti Menk

Two Conditions Of Preparing For Meeting With Allah (SWT) | Mufti Menk

#MuftiMenk mentions that whoever is looking forward or loves to meet Allah (swt) Allah loves to meet him or her. So whosoever from amongst you is looking forward to the meeting with Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala he needs to make sure primarily that two conditions are met; he needs to do good deeds which are taught by Muhammad (saw) and seek a lot of forgiveness from Allah (swt) in the lecture.

Mufti Menk says that there are so many other ways of achieving the #closeness to Allah of preparing for the meeting with Allah; our #kindness, our reaching out to those in need we’re reaching out to our brothers and sisters whether they are in our city in our locality or across the #globe those who are struggling and suffering just to reach out to them with something small that we may have perhaps with a prayer if we don’t have anything material good words amongst ourselves, cleansing our heart so that we learn to love one another. This is all for the sake of Allah; we will be prepared for the day we meet with Allah (swt).

Mufti Menk Quotes “A believer always knows where he /she is heading. He/ She is always conscious of the fact that he / She will have to meet his / Her Maker one day. If you want to meet with Allah in a beautiful way have hope; have hope in the mercy of Allah never ever lose that hope have a good feeling regarding to Allah (swt).”

Having Hope In People Is Sunnah | Mufti Menk

#MuftiMenk mentions that it’s important for us to look at Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wassalam as the ideal role model. He is the only creature of Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala or human being whom we can look at from every aspect of his life and say he’s a role model in this lecture.

Mufti Menk adds that there is always a turning point in our lives. Allah does not leave a single human being without direct reminders to him or her in his or her life; it’s not possible. So waiting for the #turningpoint in others is part of the sunnah of Muhammad (saw) when we are soft with people, when we are kind to them, and when we are lenient with them it’s a sign of the mercy of Allah upon us. Mufti Menk Quotes “Be patient wait for the turning point in others and as for yourself; ask yourself am I going to live to see the next morning why should I wait to turn myself to Allah. So when it comes to others we are lenient when it comes to ourselves we should not be lenient; turn now be hard on yourself don’t be hard on others.”

Love Is All About To Be Considerate Of The Other | Mufti Menk

#MuftiMenk mentions that when you say I love you to someone you are reconfirming the rights that they have over you and the fact that you will fulfil them in order to please Allah (swt). So, I love you; I love you too that’s not the answer of I love you not necessarily, it depends who is saying it when they are saying it why they are saying it how they are saying it. This is why those who really love one another they stick with one another even through difficult days they are a pillar of support in this lecture. Mufti Menk adds that #love is about #sacrifice when you say I love you to someone in essence, you are actually telling them I care for you to the degree that I will fulfil all your rights and I will look after you through thick and thin. May Allah (swt) grant us #happy homes.

Mufti Menk Quotes “Love is tested at the time of sacrifice when the person you claim to love is now going through the most difficult times of their lives; do you still stand by them, do you still look at their tears and wipe them off and say I love you that is far more genuine?”

How To Save Good Deeds From Devil’s Trap | Mufti Menk

#MuftiMenk addresses how to save our good deeds from the actions derived by the devils nicely in this lecture with English subtitle. Mufti Menk says Many people do not realize that it is very easy to do a good deed but it is more difficult to keep that good deed intact in a way that it can be of benefit to us when we arrive in front of the Almighty on the day of judgement. So, To protect a good deed is ten times more difficult than to engage in it. If we engage in a good deed mashallah we deserve a #gooddeed and we deserve the multiplication; if we bring it with us on the Day of Judgement.

Mufti Menk Quotes “There is a difference between the human mind & brain and the believing heart; The heart of a believer surrenders to the Almighty whilst the mind might have a question or two of understanding but ultimately whether we understand it or not. When we know the source of the instruction and we still surrender to that particular instruction, we then join the ranks of those who are the Friends of the Almighty such as Ibraheem may Allah’s peace be upon him and may Allah subhanahu wata’ala grant us a lesson from his life as well.”
