Listen To What Allah Says Before Sharing Your Good Or Bad News | Mufti Menk

Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala tells us the comfort that we will achieve when we have Allah is such that no matter what news you will know how to process the news.

Remember when you tell people things, who are you telling and what are you telling them? Are you sure that you want this person to know this particular piece of information? You’re sure it’s not going to harm you. It’s not going to be dangerous in one way or another?

Allah says protect yourselves by knowing who you should be talking to and what you should be saying.

A Dangerous Quality Allah Talked About In Surah An-Nisa

If you are a True Believer, it’s not all about yourself. It’s about us.

I don’t want to be harmed. So I definitely will not harm and I’m going to go a step further and help those who I think maybe be harmed by others. I’ll try to protect others as well. So that Allah will protect me.

So, Allah speaks about a certain quality that’s very dangerous and we need to protect ourselves from it and we need to talk about it and we need to be protected from it as well.

In verse number 54 of Surat annisa, Allah speaks about jealousy and what it does, don’t allow yourself to be jealous of others. Thank Allah for bestowing upon others His Favor, the most you could do is to ask Allah to give you a similar favor but never ask Allah to extinguish a favour He’s given someone else just because you want it.

So Allah is telling you don’t be jealous of others.

By you being jealous you automatically become unhappy with what Allah has chosen for someone. And if you’re unhappy with Allah, you have plunged yourself into the biggest possible crisis.

Work hard towards achieving what you want. Try call out to Allah, say to Allah, oh Allah you’ve blessed this person with so much grant them more, give them Baraka and bless me too in a similar way.

Saving Lives Is Our Duty When Returning To Public Life | Mufti Menk

To take your precautions and to ensure that you have tied your camel before you say I lay my trust in Allah.

the prophet salallahu alaihe wasalam says work hard towards achieving that which is beneficial for you. Do whatever you can to ensure that what you want, you will get it by the will of Allah. Work hard, Say the name of Allah, seek the help of Allah and go forth.

Then if something bad were to happen to you, then you don’t blame anyone or anything. You just say Allah wanted that to happen.

We must remember saving lives is still our duty. We must remember as much as the lockdown or the restrictions may be disappearing. The virus has not disappeared.

In fact a Believer is the one who is supposed to care even more. A Believer is the one who is supposed to be even more conscious of Life, of sickness, of the spread of evil, the spread of anything harmful.

It is prohibited upon a Believer to spread something harmful even if it were just a foul smell from your own mouth. imagine a disease, imagine something that was really harmful to the lives of people let alone just a stench or a smell from your mouth.

Do something constructive, not destructive, remember those Words because if you tackled boredom with something destructive, it will occupy you with something very very regretful.

Obedience To Allah Only But Kindness To Parents Always | Mufti Menk

Allah says be charitable, be good, be kind. Who should I be kind to?

Allah Says (Surah An-nisa, V. 36), worship Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala alone, don’t associate partners with him and be kind to your parents.

Notice, Allah didn’t say obey your parents because obedience is for Allah.

Allah says you don’t have to listen to them when they are wrong. You have to be kind to them whether they are right or wrong. You have to respectfully disagree with them when they are wrong.

Remember if we would like goodness and kindness, if we would Comfort, be kind and respectful to the following categories: your parents then your relatives even if they are nasty people what’s stopping you from being kind and respectful even though you might keep a bit of a distance.

And then Allah says Be Kind to the orphans, be kind to the Beggars, the poor, the needy, be kind to your neighbors. Make sure that you’re very very good to your neighbors.

May Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala help us and then he says Be Kind to Wayfarer a person who’s lost.

Upset With Looks Genuine Person Will Love You For Exactly Who And How You Are | Mufti Menk

Allah says don’t desire, don’t wish for that which we have given others when we have raised some above others. Allah has created different roles for everyone to play.

Allah says don’t become depressed by wishing and wanting that which Allah didn’t give you, SubhanAllah especially when it comes to something natural.

Be happy with Allah’s decreed, be happy with the way Allah has made you, be okay with your hair, and with your looks with everything else be fine with it. That’s how Allah wanted to make you unless there is something absolutely abnormal which you would be allowed to rectify and to correct.

Fitnah From Social Media Post And Don’t Get Your Group Involved

Ibn Abbas (ra) said the documentation of Allah is every expression, every word and every signal whether it is expressed written or spoken. That’s the way that Allah documents

If you would not bring yourself to say it to someone, don’t write it.

When we use social media use it in a way that if you were to die for some reason you would not be embarrassed about the content that you have put out there.

As a Believer we should do that which is good. We should do that which is not embarrassing if we were to die and even if we did not die, but we need to be much more responsible when it comes to the use of social media.

O Children Of Adam! Beware Of The Beautification Of The Devil’s Traps | Mufti Menk

In suratul Al-A’raf,  subhanahu wa’ta’ala addresses us all by calling us Ya bani Adam! o children of Adam, don’t let shaitan trap you with his traps

Shaytan /devil trapped Adam and Eve/ Adam and hawwa May peace be upon them, and promised with his two things:

Be careful go and read about that, go and find out what shaitaan did, shaytan promised them two things, shaytan said if you disobey Allah, you’re going to live forever, and you will own everything.

Allah says shaitaan’s /devil’s Aim is to make you reveal your private parts, to make you take off your clothing,

Allah says watch out, shaytan wants you to be immoral, shaytan wants you to actually forget Allah. So He wants us and says be careful, don’t fall into the same trap of the devil. Otherwise, you will be exposed.

How To Know The Signs Of A Successful / An Accepted Ramadan

If you’re feeling more spiritual this moment at the end of Ramadan, then your Ramadan has been successful.

If the day of Eid is a day of obedience, a day where you still pray your qiyamul lail, a day where you still pray in the Masjid five times a day, a day where you still read the Quran and this is a huge sign that Allah azzawajal has accepted your qiyam and your reading of the Quran and your prayers in Ramadan.

So it’s important that we’re trying to form habits in sha Allah tala that will Outlast Ramadan and go beyond Ramadan.

one of the signs of an accepted Ramadan Is that our life changes, even if it were to mean or even if it was to mean just by a few inches, but the life has changed. If my life changes after Ramadan It means my Ramadan was correct.

Which Deeds Will Get Multiplied By Tenfold On The Judgment Day | Mufti Menk

Prophet Muhammad peace be upon Him explains to us who the bankrupt person is. And he says that it is a person who has a lot of good deeds, a lot of good deeds, but when they come on the Day of Judgment, they did wrong to people. So, Allah took those good deeds and actually gave them to the others, such that there were no more Good Deeds remaining.

So this is why Allah says when you do good deeds, make sure protect them by not engaging in harming others and come with them on the day of judgment, We will multiply that for you tenfold.

If a person does the bad deed, Allah instructs the angel to hold on not to write it against them yet for a period of time for a part of the day or a part of the night, why?

Perhaps this person might seek forgiveness. So there’s no need to write it yet. So we’re given a time after committing a sin to repent.

The guilt or the regret that a Believer feels immediately after committing a sin is actually the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala.
