Seek the forgiveness of Allah on a daily basis, so many times a day because you need to have good news.
The Quran tells you that for as long as you’re seeking the forgiveness of Allah; whatever Calamity comes in your direction is not a punishment from Allah.
If the Almighty has given you an opportunity to seek forgiveness and to make amends and to build a relationship with Him and to exchange your love with Allah, what that means is you’ve had an opportunity of rushing towards Him…..
The prophet (saw) said that Allah is shy, when his servants raise his hands in dua/ supplication to let them come down empty without being answered. Allah (swt) Allah subhanaw Taala is shy and generous so that when a servant raises His hands to the sky, there’s no way that Allah (swt) would let those hands come down from the heavens empty and rejected.
In arabic the dua is written,
اللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِيْ وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَىَّ وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِيْ، فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ إِلَّاأَنْتَ۔
Here’s transliteration to help with pronunciation of the dua,
Allahumma anta rabbi la ilaha illa anta, khalaqtani wa-ana ‘abduk, wa-ana ‘ala ‘ahdika wawa‘dika mas-tata‘t, a‘oothu bika min sharri ma sana‘t, aboo-o laka bini‘matika ‘alay, wa-aboo-o bithanbee, faghfir lee fa-innahu la yaghfiru-thunaba illa ant
O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am Your servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I have committed. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin except You.
